One week before cruise date they shortened the trip by one day. There is no way they didn't know way before this as they had to book 1000 hotel rooms for the shortened stay. Selection and quality of food was mediocre compared to other cruise lines that I have sailed. The same for their shows. Ship itself was not as nice as other ships I've been on. On last day we were put up in a hotel in ...
NEVER AGAIN!!!
We too were on the shortened Hawaiin Cruise of 3rd March 2018 .
Bottom line - we believe they knew the cruise was going to be shortened weeks before they notified anyone yet had no consideration to international travelers. (As evidenced by their on-line itinerary). All they were interested in was getting "Bums on seats".
We had to try to frantically re-arrange travel plans ...
From start to finish, this cruise was marked with disorganization and poor service! The embarkation (and disembarkation) were chaotic, mass cattle calls with tons of waiting in interminable lines with little or no seating! On entering my cabin, I was greeted with a dead cockroach mid-floor. I am 5'3" tall and could not reach the peephole in the door or even the directions for the safe. I managed ...
We are so disappointed in NCL. First they cut the cruise from 7 to 6 days, less than 2 weeks before embarkation. Promised to refund 1 day's cost. Have only received $10.87. Cancelled my shore excursions due to itinerary change. Have not refunded my $408 and seem to have no recollection of the excursions but do show a payment. Huh? Was refused entry to the Aloha Buffet because I was wearing a ...
We chose this cruise to see the islands. We were supposed to cruise March 3 - 10 and ONE WEEK before we were to leave they sent an email telling us that our cruise would be shortened by ONE day and we would be disembarking on March 9th. Instead of having 2 days in Maui we only had ONE. Because we would be arriving a day early to the other islands I had to re-arrange several excursions and rental ...
Choose cruise since my husband is gluten-free and dairy free, thought a cruise would work better with his condition. We were wrong, very wrong!! Ship was not equip to handle GF and dairy free guests. Staff did not have a clue regarding how to handle this. My husband became ill with all the cross contaminations. Not enough selections from the menu or from staff. What do you do with guest with other ...
We are a family in our 40s that loves to cruise. We have been on Royal and Celebrity many times. Carnival only once. This was our first experience with NCL. We thought it would be a great way to see all the islands. The food was the horrible and horrible is being nice. Service was worse than that!! There are not many "Free" places but the food was not good even when you paid for it. The ...
Being newlyweds and celebrating my husband's milestone birthday, we paid $7600 for a 7-day cruise in a VIP 'Penthouse Suite with Private Balcony'. Our cabin, while nice, overlooked a very busy, crowded pool, had live music directly below us, a public stairwell that allowed people to look into our room and talk to us, and we even saw one man on the other side of the pool looking into our room ...
Food is Motel 6 level. Worst ever. No flavour, overcooked. Steak/prime rib, not aged, grizzle & fat. Appitizer example dill shrimp & fingerling potatoes means potatoes with 2 tiny shrimp cut in half placed on top to cover potatoes. Buffet good if you want type 2 diabetes, cold plates for hot food, hot plates for salad bar, you run around to find correct plate. Overcooked dry, hot food is cold. ...
Sailed on January 20th, 2018.
I’m trying to come up with a few positive mentions, but it’s very difficult.
Pros: Most of the crew we encountered were extremely nice
Water pressure in the bathroom was great
Cons: Ship is very old and not even close to a “Luxury” cruise ship.
Design of ship is boring and not exciting…because it’s an OLD SHIP
Food in the buffet was ...
