This was a trial-run cruise for us. We are long-term Regents Seven Seas cruisers (Gold Level) but after years of enduring the slowness of the elderly general ship population, on board their vessels, we are now looking for younger passengers who can actually move on/off the ship and during excursions. We found what we were looking for on this cruise - few families with children and mostly still ...
This was my 6th cruise. I've been on Carnival, NCL, HAL and RCL. This New England cruise has given me reason to take another look at the other lines again. Dining room service was slow and below average. Buffet was poor to say the least. The staff is clearly trying but they just don't have the numbers or materials to provide good food and service. I'm still trying to figure out how you can ...
This was my second cruise sailing as a solo cruiser on Norwegian, the previous one was in the Caribbean almost a year ago and I loved it. This cruise, not so much. This ship is almost identical but it did not have a lounge in the front of the ship which was disappointing.
The four things that were really good about this cruise were: embarkation, the food, the crew, and the ports. That's it, ...
I went on this cruise with a group of friends. I usually get an inside cabin but this time, that was a mistake. The inside cabins were EXTREMELY small. There was minimal closet space for the two of us. There were no drawers in the dresser. Outlets were only at the dresser so we had to share instead of having one in the bathroom. We saw the cabin steward on the first day and never again. He ...
Way over priced for quality of cruise experience. The main cruise director was at best annoying, at worst rude, impatient, unsympathetic. We were specifically told lunch would be offered to accommodate a late excursion only to find the DR closed. Fortunately, we were in port and could walk into a local restaurant that day. Daily excursions are listed as being included in the cruise fare but ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary as it included Newfoundland and Saguenay. Ports were all great. Loved the itinerary. We have completed over 20 cruises and this was our 5th on NCL. We have always enjoyed the entertainment and while the food has not always been the best at sea, we have always enjoyed the specialty restaurants and the main dining areas have been good to very good.
We ...
The food was mostly okay… the ship was over crowded and many guests couldn’t even see the shows due to not enough showing to accommodate all guests. We chose this cruise as it stopped in my husband’s home town of Cornerbrook NL. Of course this was our favorite stop on the cruise. The excursions were okay but not worth the costs. The excursion in Sydney consisted of a woman talking about how ...
We chose this itinerary (back to back with Bermuda) because of the destinations and a good price. Also we had had a good expense on the Meravigilia in 2020, just before the pandemic.
Overall we did enjoy our trip, at least we did until two of our travel companions got Covid, which was obviously a downer for them and us. There are many things we like about the Meravigilia and most of the ...
On this cruise, I learned that you get what you pay for! For the price that I paid as a solo traveller, the cruise was just barely OK, so in a way, I have to admit that it's nice that there are choices for bargain hunters, but personally, I will use more caution when booking a cruise in the future, as this cruise, food, ship and choice of activities did not meet my expectations. I am a rather ...
First time Celebrity cruisers (we have traveled 5 times on Disney and 1 on Viking Ocean). This has always been an itinerary we have been interested in and it did not disappoint. It's very much and adult and upscale feel in the rooms and public areas - understated and nice. We have always thought that this would be an adult offering with great food that would really mesh with our tastes ...
