This is my second time on a Royal ship out of Miami, the past was the Mariner of the Seas. I am NOT a fan of Miami at all. Most of my sailings have been Disney out of P.C.
Embarkation -was probably the smoothest I have experienced to date of any cruise line and port. My daughter was asked no less than 5 times if she was fully Vaccinated.
Activities- there is never a shortage of these on ...
I usually cruise with Disney and Celebrity but decided to give Royal a try. I did a 4 night cruise which I felt was a perfect amount of time for a first time Royal cruiser. This was very much so a booze cruise so be aware if you’re not a drinker…people can get pretty crazy onboard. We were past capacity (I asked a crew member and they said 4,590 guests were onboard)…the pools and lido deck were ...
The ship itself is really nice. The service was amazing.
Liked:
• Very modern, cabins are really nice and you can control a lot of things from the tablet (including the curtains for the balcony!).
• The food was good and you don’t have to worry about buying packages. They kept it simple and it worked well.
• The Virgin app was really helpful to make reservations for shows, restaurants ...
First time cruising. Chose the Breakaway due to other family members recommendation. Had an exceptional time. Cabin was good, service and entertainment were excellent. Highlight of trip was Syd Norman's Pour House the band there was awesome. Saw their show on 4 nights. Six! was cancelled for the week so never got to see it. Velvet dinner show was good, great performers but did see some guests that ...
We booked in the Haven for this cruise so my cruising experience especially in terms of cabin, food, and service might be different since we tended to stay within the Haven for lunches and dinner. However, we did visit the buffet numerous times throughout the cruise.
FOOD:
After getting off the Carnival Mardi Gras with its tiny buffet recently, it was nice to see a full fledged buffet with ...
It was our first cruise ever.
Food on the ship was excellent overall (buffet, main dining room, tuscan grill and burgers at mast bar). Room attendant gave us excellent service. Ship is beautiful even if not new. All staff is helpful. Classic beverage package was perfect for us (lots of choice). Wine was good and frozen cocktails also. Embark and disembark process was quick and well ...
This was mine and my husband's first cruise on Royal Caribbean. We sailed on Carnival Ecstacy in December 2018 and Celebrity Equinox in July 2019. Overall we enjoyed this vacation but there were several pros and cons I'd like to share.
First of all the number one selling point were the shows onboard and we were not disappointed. My favorites were the ice skating show 1977, Hiro the ...
My husband and I cruise very often and we enjoy the Princess Cruise service. On this cruise, we had a balcony cabin on the Riviera deck towards the back of the ship. There was a sewage blockage somewhere in the ship and the cabins became flooded. The staff did their best to clean it up but I requested to change cabins. As you walk on that particular area of the ship, you can see the moldy residue ...
We joined a large family trip with lots of kids and three generations. In short, this is probably a great cruise for a large group and for families but our observations were that this is not the cruise ship for adult couples...at least not one who are expecting a more traditional cruise experience.
To start, embarkation in Miami is total chaos. It is amazing to think that Royal Caribbean ...
Overall a positive experience. But 3 of the 4 ports were Carnival-owned, meaning not much to see other than beaches. No dining rooms open for lunch on at-port days though the buffet is. In the dining rooms, portion sizes are smaller, but you can ask for seconds. Embarking and debarking seemed a little faster with the medallion, but we had a suite so that helped too.The Medallion app is clearly ...
