Overall a positive experience. But 3 of the 4 ports were Carnival-owned, meaning not much to see other than beaches. No dining rooms open for lunch on at-port days though the buffet is. In the dining rooms, portion sizes are smaller, but you can ask for seconds. Embarking and debarking seemed a little faster with the medallion, but we had a suite so that helped too.The Medallion app is clearly not ready for full deployment. More than half the functions lock up an iPhone with the latest software. Clearly a shortage of staff but they did an admiral job of keeping up the service. As expected, the internet was very slow. You can see plenty of cut-backs particularly in the Princess Theatre productions. Extremely weak. High compliments for their efforts to keep the ship clean and virus free. Overall no regrets. Wanting to do our part to keep the cruise lines "afloat", pun intended....

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Basically nothing but beaches and a few worthless shops

Grand Turk

Princess Cays

San Juan

We like the San Juan port for its proximity to Old San Juan. Definitely walking distance. Plenty of great, authentic Puerto Rican cuisine to be found.
