Definitely a highlight of the cruise! We woke up that morning and opened the curtains of our aft balcony to see a beautiful view of the resort town with a waterfall running down the mountainside and through the town. Impossible to describe the beauty in words, simply amazing.
Almost all tours included a ride up the mountainside and through valleys on the Flam Train, whose terminal was located ...
What lovely mild weather approx 18c. I did try to spit with rain from lunchtime onwards book it wasn't cold.
The Flam railway RC excursion was £125 approx. I booked the tickets direct online for just £54. It’s a 5 minute walk from the Ship to the train.
Tourist info and shops next door. Lots of toilets in there also. No toilets on the train.
Free railway museum next to the train.
Train trip ...

This town is small ...
Absolutely gorgeous! Make sure you are near windows or on your veranda for sailing in/out - the views are gorgeous and the process takes a few hours. We did a RIB boat tour and it was great. Even though cold, they provided all the protective gear needed. Probably my favorite port on this itinerary. ...
Beautiful scenery but I would argue only half a day is needed here as there is limited things to do. We opted to take the Stegastein viewpoint tour from Norway's Best which I would recommend to anyone. Flam railway also very good. Would be very concerned how busy this place gets in the summer as it's tiny! ...
