We took the BIG BUS which is right outside the port. Viator charges $69, the ship charges $59 and you can buy the ticket on the bus for $49. A great overview of SF with a 2.5 hour loop that crosses the golden gate bridge. Super cold and windy tho so be prepared. ...

Excellent overnight. Dined off the ship at a great restaurant. Went to Muir Woods and Catalina. Next day, on our own we went to Alcatraz and husband toured the Liberty Ship in the harbor. ...

This was my 6th visit to my favorite city! We had an overnight here, so we were able to pack a lot in. We walked along Fisherman's Wharf, bought chocolates at Ghirardelli Square, hiked up Hyde Street, zigzagged down Lombard, visited Little Italy, and climbed the many stairs to Coit Tower. The weather was beautiful, so we took a rideshare to Golden Gate Park and Lands End. So much to do, so little ...

Took cable car ride from near pier 37 Fisherman’s Wharf, over to China town and had Wow! Delicious shrimp wonton soup at little Far East Cafe 63 Grant Ave. cost was $16 in large serving bowl for two. Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Noordam

We spent a full day here (arriving around 5 AM and departing at 11 PM) so, we had plenty of time to take a tour and still explore on our own. Additionally, it was "Fleet Week" in San Francisco.......this was both good and bad. Good - the Blue Angles were flying over the bay & there were US Navy ships open four tours. Bad - crowds. We took a (HAL sponsored) driving tour and a trip to ...

This was an easy port to walk around and spend a good part of the day not that far from the pier if you choose. Except for the hills, this is a very walkable city with so much to do. With a great "little Italy" and "Chinatown" there is some fantastic food! Plenty of sightseeing and easy to get around. Fisherman's wharf is a short walk from the pier and can easily occupy most of your day if you ...
