Our tenth cruise on Silversea and first since COVID was overall a very good experience.
Embarkation was outside on a very windy ground level pier. First your COVID test results are checked, then a form to fill out, hopefully without it blowing away, then a quick check by the ship's doctor of vaccination cards, then actual check in to exchange passports for keys. Somehow in all this they forgot to get a credit card imprint so had to do that later once on board. It was borderline chaotic and not at all up to Silversea standards.
But all of that fades away once on board and settled into our Silver Suite. The accommodations were outstanding and the ship itself was spotless and maintained perfectly.
An interesting seaport town.
We spent three days prior to the cruise in Copenhagen, and we could have spent three more.
Flam is very touristy and the train ride is the real reason to visit.
Fun place to walk about with a really nice excursion including a boat ride on the lake. A highlight of our cruise.
Beautiful city, we walked everywhere. Highlight was the Nobel Museum and visiting the city hall where the award ceremony is held.
