I was afraid of taking this cruise due to the reviews of several of the ship, food, entertainment, and photo dept. but, i found all of the reviews to be incorrect and very wrong. The crew members who dealt with us were of the highest quality. food was not that great but was not bad either. i ate the food with no real complaints. The food service that waited on us stevan ? And jay ? Table 231 ...
This was our second cruise on Grandeur - we booked it two days after we returned least year. We had originally picked our cabin, but being a bargain hunter, I went for a WOW rate to save $500. NEVER AGAIN!!! We were assigned cabin 3651. We always take an interior cabin as we don't spend much time in there. The cabin was fine until the pipes started banging and the dishwasher started going ...
This was our fourth annual Pan Cruise. We are a group of 8 and get together to play this weird card game everyday on the ship. Natalie our group coordinator was Outstanding. A pure delight. We had prearranged the use of Conference B by our TA.
We were a little worried about what the weather would be like, but it turned out to be fine. The Captain, one of the friendliest and I think youngest, ...
The Good;
This was the second Grandeur cruise I have been on that the included a storm on the return trip. The first was Feb of 2014. Both times the Grandeur & the Crew handled 25 to 30Ft waves and high winds without any problems. I have to guess that the size and design of this older ship is well suited the Atlantic Ocean winter trips!
Cabin & Dinner service was great!. The crew is ...
Chose this cruise because port is so close only 2.3 hours away from home.
Great little ship friendly staff Chops Grill is the best. Port very easy to get in and out of. Once I dropped my luggage off we were on ship in 20 minutes. I thought the entertainment was just so so but that is not the reason we go on cruises. We enjoy the overall experience with Granduer. When we were on board we booked ...
The Grandeur was the first ship I had been on and I loved it ten years ago and so when I saw the itinerary out of Baltimore..Charleston, Port Canaveral ...and Bahamas I knew my husband would be interested .he loves history and this cruise offered the chance for us to see places such as Fort Henry and Fort Sumpter. We were not disappointed . We had the best tour operator ,Bob Beard , take us around ...
We chose this cruise because it went out of a port that we could drive to. We also wanted to try something smaller and different.
The people and service were awesome, and the boat has a reputation for people coming back time and time again. And I can find no fault with them.
This was also our second Royal Caribbean Cruise and again I found fault in the dining room (but not with the staff). ...
As a first time cruiser, although I asked experienced cruises and read a lot about cruising. There are many things that you are not sure if until personally experienced. First, getting on the ship, a lot of unknowns. Felt a little cattle hurdled to the buffet area since the cabins and many other areas were not ready. The buffet was very crowded and difficult to find seating. We had a large group, ...
We chose this cruise because it had Charleston, SC, in the itinerary and we had never been there. Charleston was the first port we visited, followed by Port Canaveral, FL, Freeport and Nassau, Bahamas, and Coco Cay (RC’s private island). We chose to purchase day passes to some resorts in Freeport and Nassau since we enjoy beaches. We were glad we did this, as it worked out well in terms of ...
This was my 7th cruise out of Baltimore, 5th on the Grandeur.
For the first time, I found the embarkation area chaotic. I was put on, and taken off, 3 different lines.
Most of the crew seemed new and not nearly as outgoing and energetic as on previous cruises. The Meet & Mingle was a disaster and was a harbinger of things to come.
The Grandeur often has an older group of cruisers. The ...
