The Grandeur was the first ship I had been on and I loved it ten years ago and so when I saw the itinerary out of Baltimore..Charleston, Port Canaveral ...and Bahamas I knew my husband would be interested .he loves history and this cruise offered the chance for us to see places such as Fort Henry and Fort Sumpter. We were not disappointed . We had the best tour operator ,Bob Beard , take us around Charleston ..we learned so much and were delighted with his stellar ,informative tour of that beautiful city. ...as well as Fort Sumpter and the Civil War. As for the ship itself, the staff are to be credited with making The Grandeur the grand ship to call home for nine days. The staff are professionals in everything they do and take personal pride in their positions on the ship. Our cabin attendant, Ricky was friendly and very respectful and a pleasure to chat with for the few moments he was able to visit in between cleaning the many cabins.his work ethic was to be admired as was that of our waiterJuanito. They are representative of the really fabulous staff of The Grandeur. The Captain kept us safe as we were in the path of the NorEastef that rocked the east coast. His announcements were highlighted by his wonderful sense of humour and I looked forward to his daily words! This was a memorable trip for my husband and I..we loved walking around Deck 5 outdoors ..we enjoyed the fresh ocean breezes and loved being spoiled in the dining room and also choosing treats in The Windjammer.Truly, A Grand Trip !

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin H

Our cabin attendant Ricky made sure our room was sparkling clean and we really loved the fact it was on the Centrum deck..near everything..no sound in our room..plenty of lovely music as soon as we walked out into the hall..activities galore to choose from .The room had lots of storage..but then I pack wisely! Loved watching the ocean waves from the window.
