Cons:
1. When you sail out of NY, the cheers program doesn't go into effect till the following day, so you have to pay for all drinks on day 1 out of NY. (Major disappointment)
2. Some passengers were ghetto. Ex. cursing around kids, we heard 2 guys saying the "n" word around my kids; running and stomping through the halls late at night/ early in the a.m., screaming in the halls. There was ...
We booked this cruise as a family cruise for my husband's 50th birthday. This is our 3rd Carnival Cruise, having sailed Norwegian, Disney and Royal Caribbean multiple times.
The Sunshine has been recently refurbished, thus resembling most of the other "Fun Ships" in the fleet. When we first boarded the ship, I wasn't sold on the boat's design, but as the cruise progressed, it did not ...
I want to congratulate you for having Allegria Dou... My family danced every night.. They welcomed us like we were their friends... When I was feeling disappointed due to the cabin I had. We were placed in a cabin that was too small for three adults, plus no real bed for my friend to sleep. A very small mattress was on a tilted plastic frame placed on the floor. Patrick was very helpful trying ...
We departed from Manhattan which was great, since we live in NY. Embarkation was a little over an hour from dropping off my bags, getting room keys, and actually getting onboard. The ship was great! We loved the staff and our cruise director Emma was hilarious and full of energy. They had plenty of activities onboard to entertain you everyday.
Once we got to our first port, Old San Juan, it ...
Look, a cruise is what you make it and my recent sailing from NYC to the Caribbean was OK. There were many highlights....the food was great; offered breakfast in the dining room every morning; extremely friendly staff; great service;, and the common areas of the newly updated ship were very nice. I have been on 6 previous Carnival cruises and have enjoyed them all. Here is the problem...when ...
We went on this cruise with our children and grandchildren to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The accommodations are great and we all had a wonderful time. We ate in the MDR each ate - they honored our special vegan diets and allergies and are very good about it. The food was delicious - steak every night on the menu as well as seafood, etc. Indian food was very tasty and better than many Indian ...
Everything was nice about this cruise except the comedy shows. They only had a PG show the first day.
Everyday after that they were all R or X rated. 4 times a day, even at 7:15.
We are not prudes, but we don't like hearing the F word a 100 times, and distasteful material.
What happened to the funny shows? The main shows were good, Also we played some trivia games which were ...
My family and I are Gold members as we have taken many cruises on Carnival. This cruise along with myself was my husband, son 18 and daughter 10. In the past we have only taken a couple of Royal Caribbean cruises as we were very satisfied and happy with the switch to Carnival many years ago. However, after this cruise, we will be giving Royal Caribbean another shot. I will break down my review in ...
Cruised with a group of 6 friends/family. Because I consider Carnival cheap and cheerful, I had realistic expectations. There's lots of fun to be had, plenty of activities (good cruise director and staff), and while the ship does hold more people than it probably should, it is a big ship, so one can find peace if you know where to look.
We did not dine in the MDR but booked specialty dining ...
we have been on many carnival crusies in the past and enjoyed with little problems. this on started with problems once on the ship. The app almost never worked, and need the app for almost everything to keep track of spending to entertainment Without the app it was hard to know what activities and pools were included in price., request from housekeeping took forever. Getting off ship they ruined ...
