Excellent cruise and very well-mannered fellow cruisers

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

I chose this cruise so I could go with my two college kids. We originally booked two cabins but then my daughter had a scheduling conflict so I cancelled one and shared an interior stateroom with my 22 y/o son. We sailed on Liberty 12-24-12/29 in 2014 and we all had a great time so it made sense to go on a similar ship around the same time. While I didn't care at all about Costa Maya (we never ...

Another wonderful adventure on the Freedom

After our cruises on the Empress, Oasis and Majesty in the past 4 months we found ourselves on the right size ship for us. Everything went great from embarkation, our rooms and some super dinners. I think we had one of the best cabin steward ever. You never saw him but everything was done in a timely manner. We saw some of the best shows we have seen at sea in over 24 cruises in the past ...

Not the Royal Caribbean I Know

This was my 13th cruise with Royal and what a disappointment. -Windjammer is disgusting. The tongs that you grab your food with are all greasy and oily. There aren't as many choices as there use to be. The windjammer has no change, everyday are the same choices. If you need a refill don't bother waiting for a waiter because they don't come around asking if you need a refill ...

We chose this cruise mostly for the ports of call and we have never been on this class of ship. I was concerned about how they would board 4000 + passengers , but it was actually the fastest and smoothest boarding process we have ever encountered, well organized ! It's size seemed a bit intimidating at first, but once you understand that most eating is at the rear of the ship , ...

Super Nice Vacation

Embarkation was great but getting off was a big mess! However, this was a great cruise and we enjoyed it. The Ports of Labadee, San Juan, St. Martens, and St. Kitts especially were great. We took a private tour with Tatum tours in St Kitts and really learned a lot about the island and were treated like kings for a few hours. Our dining menu choices were our only real "slight" negative, ...

Review is intended to help those planning to sail on Freedom OTS for 8-Day Eastern Caribbean – as a Diamond member we’ve sailed on a few RCCL ships and normally stay in a Junior Suite which we did on this cruise in December 2016 and this was our 2nd time on this ship. Here’s What Works Well On this Ship: On-boarding was quick and we arrived at 1115 despite e-mail asking us to come at 1230. We ...

Well I can say that freedom of the sea has gone down hill, 2 years ago we were on this ship and it was better than this one . First of all we were on the second floor , on 2 day in the hallway rug was soaking wet due to a leak. .Our room was ok . We went to the gym every morning at 8 am no towels . There was a lack entrainment , they had the shows and games as 2 yrs ago. .we had 2 sea days at ...

Magnificent ship, magnificent crew, entertainment even better

The ship is magnificent. Not too small, not too large, the Royal Promenade Mall/Court area is amazing. The entertainment was incredible. Drew Thomas (Illusionist) as good as you'll see in any venue. Abbacadabra was awesome. A handful of the RC Entertainment group (Trevor, Kelly, few others) performed a classic rock concert that was "classic". I am sure they loved doing this, it showed in their ...

Background: have cruised Royal and Celebrity. This was our 3rd cruise. Overall: we would sail on this ship again Embarkation: extremely smooth. Must have had us on board in less than 1/2 hour. Cabbing it to the pier took longer! Boarded around 1:30 pm. Food: MDR was excellent. Our waiters exceeded our expectations. We ate what they recommended and enjoyed everything. Buffet was also ...

We took our first Royal Caribbean cruise December 4th on Freedom of the Seas. We have cruise on other lines (Celebrity, Holland America & Norwegian) but not Royal but were excited to cruise on Royal and try our first Caribbean cruise. First off, I want to warn people that Royal does NOT allow power strips on their ship. They WILL confiscate it. I typically travel with one to charge all of ...
