Embarkation was great but getting off was a big mess! However, this was a great cruise and we enjoyed it. The Ports of Labadee, San Juan, St. Martens, and St. Kitts especially were great. We took a private tour with Tatum tours in St Kitts and really learned a lot about the island and were treated like kings for a few hours. Our dining menu choices were our only real "slight" negative, because you definitely won't go hungry on the Freedom. Menu choices have been downgraded since our last couple of trips on Freedom. The choices were repeated and no real luxury choices at all. Now, we did eat in Chops Grill on our anniversary and it was WONDERFUL. Our Filet steak would melt in your mouth. Very nice. The Windjammer has a lot of selection for different meals but we found total repeated menu items here too. The ship seemed much more crowded as staterooms have been added to Freedom since we have sailed her. This is our third trip on Freedom as we love this ship. Our stateroom this time was a Junior Suite and it was lovely. We enjoyed the larger balcony and the spacious stateroom. The closet was superior and our clothing was always right in front of us, we didn't have to look for anything. There are numerous drawers for your smaller items too. We had the benefit of a coffee pot/tea maker too. Our bath was great with a tub and shower however it would be nice to have a bit more storage here. The entertainment was probably the BEST we have experienced on a cruise. The entertainers were so talented and the ice skaters put on a dynamic show for us. Everyone attending just loved it.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Our cabin was lovely....lots of extra room including a small window room to the side that was just perfect for luggage storage. It is one of the few on this ship that has this luxury. The balcony was great with loungers and chairs/table. We were on the "hump" and the views were magnificent. The room had a coffee maker which was pleasant. Our closet was huge and storage for everything here. The bathroom was nice with tub and shower but the storage was still slack....not like an interior but could have had a bit more storage for bottles of "stuff" Vincent our steward did a great job and we really appreciate all his efforts.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Love Labadee.....enjoy the water or any of the MANY things on shore to do. Enjoy watching those on the long zip line and dragon here.

St. Maarten

There is so much to choose from in St Maartens. You can shop just off sip, take a ferry ride for $7.00 all day long to go shopping in Phillipsburg or go to the French side. Lots to do there too including having airplanes land just over your head to have lots of excitement. Great place.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We took a private tour with Tatum tours and he was excellent. We went at our on pace and checked out the island. We visited the oldest fort in this hemisphere and it was great. You could spend the day here. Plus got to look at not visit a volcano. Beautiful island.

San Juan

You can take a tour here or just walk from the Port and enjoy the atmosphere. It is quite interesting.
