We will never sail on Royal Caribbean again. This was our 45th cruise and we have sailed on Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian and Holland America. We have never had an experience like we did on Freedom of the Seas. We have sailed on Royal Caribbean since 1990 so we are Crown & Anchor members. We have sailed on this 4 times. This time in August. The new port is excelleent--easy on--easy off. The staff is friendly. Our room attendant was excellent as was our waiter. The menus have not been changed in years. Pork must be cheap because there is lots of it. The buffet is average.. The ice cream machine on deck 11 didn't work on the first day. We just came back from our 7 night (Labadee, Falmouth, Georgetown and Cozumel)cruise on the Freedom of the seas and we finally understand why there are more frequent negative reviews about this ship.
We are loyal to Royal Caribbean, however, this was our 6th (13th overall) and probably final time on the Freedom.

We chose this cruise because we wanted to leave out of Port Canaveral.
The embarkation process went very smoothly and we were on board the ship by 11:30.
The Freedom of the Seas is around 10 years old but is maintained very well. It is truly a beautiful ship. There is pretty much anything that you can want on board.

Freedom is the best ship in the fleet! MDR staff is great,guest service desk,friendly, ship clean,room stewards great,cruise director Casey,the best! Johnny Rockets,don't miss it,a meal and a show, Diamond concierge was like my new best friend,I got a phone call each night on what was going on the next day,Freedom should give lessons!

My husband and I appreciate a "family" atmosphere, even though we have no children. We don't do modern comedy and we don't drink any alcohol.
