We chose an Alaskan Land & Cruise Package. We did the land portion first, which was good because that was more strenuous. We boarded the ship in Anchorage & sailed to Vancouver. Overall, the Alaska experience was excellent. Our land portion started in Anchorage, followed by two one nights at Princess rustic lodges. The highlight of this portion was the 5 hour Denali tour.

We chose Princess because we wanted to go Direct to the Wilderness to Alaska from Vancouver. Upgrades were part of the incentives at the time of our booking. Sure enough about 1 1/2 weeks before our sail date we were upgraded to balcony rooms (we were 3 couples, linked together).
