We chose an Alaskan Land & Cruise Package. We did the land portion first, which was good because that was more strenuous. We boarded the ship in Anchorage & sailed to Vancouver. The first 2 days were spent on the ship as we viewed the glaciers. The next 3 days we were in 3 ports (Skagway, Juneau & Ketchikan). Last full day was at sea. The ship was well-maintained & appointed. Our balcony cabin was clean. I didn't like that our balcony sat back so that balconies below us jutted out further. The shower is small. Our bed was wonderful (Princess takes pride in it's luxury at sea) - so much so that we purchased the mattress when we got home! The plug situation was difficult. You could only plug in one item at the desk & one item behind the TV. I had brought a plug panel with extra plugs but it would not fit into the plugs available. The hair dryer was at the desk. I would have liked it in the bathroom. The food was good - not outstanding. The shows were terrific. The bars emptied out early - 12mn. Felt they could have had more shipboard activities. There is a covered pool on board, as well as hot tubs. Movies on deck was nice - even served free popcorn! Personnel were friendly and efficient. Excursions ran smoothly. Loved the White Pass Railway, Mushers Camp & Medenhall Glacier Hike & Whale Watch. Towns were cute with lots of shops. I think it was a great once-in-a-lifetime trip.
