Great Cruise

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

We chose this cruise because of the dates/location required. Our inside cabin was just fine and saved a lot of money. One port was changed for another due to bad weather which was appreciated rather than another sea day. Lots of activities on the ship. We dont do the drinks or wifi package because of high price which I guess is normal on all cruises. I was quite happy with the food but I always ...

Loved this old ship

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Like the old ships before the razzle dazzle and kid's clubs etc, just loved the understated old fashioned elegance, the crew was excellent and it wasn't crowded, I love this ship and liked it so much we booked it again for 2024. I have only sailed on Royal Caribbean and am up to diamond status, but found the concierge couldn't be beat for solving problems. Can't be positive enough about this ship. ...

Excellent Value and Bountiful Choices

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Epic

My friend Jim and I enjoyed the Epic's December Transatlantic voyage from Lisbon to Manhattan. Here are some of my thoughts: The Good: We stayed at a terrific, boutique 22-room hotel in Lisbon called the Sao Vicente Alfama before embarking; Uber worked well to get us around the hilly Alfama neighborhood and to the Port; Our mini-suites(11249 and 11253)were comfortable and our cabin ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Preziosa

Me and my boyfriend (30 and 37-both Greeks) decided to sail for the second time with MSC Preziosa because the first cruise was just fantastic and we loved the vibes of beeing in such an amzing ship! We sailed at October 2018 for a 9 nights cruise to Genoa, Malaga, Casablanca, Lisbon, Barcelona, Marseilles. We had a great experience overall. THE SHIP. The ship is absolutely amazing. Big, ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Europa

This was my first cruise with Hapag-Lloyd’s “most beautiful yacht in the world,” the MS Europa, 13 nights, Lisbon to Nice. I had previously cruised with my husband on the more modern, and advertised as bilingual, HL Europa 2 on a Christmas/New Years cruise December 2015 (see my CC review, Cape Town to Cape Town) and had greatly enjoyed that, which led to my interest in the Europa. I am comparing ...

Fantastic Cruise to Africa

Review for a Africa Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We have just completed a 25 day cruise from Lisbon to Cape Town and we enjoyed every moment. The staff were amazing catering to our every need. Smiles all around and a willingness to please. In general, there is always a great deal of criticism about the food on board ships but really, I found nothing wrong with anything served on this trip. We have cruised often and I know that regular cruisers ...

Another Transatlantic Gem!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Our Transatlantic cruise on the Mariner in 2012 (Monte Carlo to Rio) was such a great experience that we chose to do it again. This time it was Lisbon to Miami. The Mariner and her staff once again more than measured up to our expectations! Our pre-cruise hotel was the Corinthia in Lisbon, a very nice hotel. The room was quite spacious and very well maintained during our three night stay. The ...

Review of the Lisbon to Miami cruise on the Regent Seven Seas Mariner October 13 2014 to November 3 2014. This review will cover only the time spent on board the ship and will not discuss the pre travel arrangements organized by Regent and is a separate issue. I booked this cruise early (about a year) because I wanted to be part of the Larry Cohen Bridge program which was limited to 62 ...

A Near-Perfect Crossing

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Vision of the Seas

User Avatar

Vision of the Seas gleamed after its dry dock in Cadiz. Having never sailed on her, I had no frame of comparison before and after. The understated décor in maroon, purple, and brown is juxtaposed with a full neon spectrum of color circling each deck of the Centrum. The artwork leans toward shapeless abstractions. Ironically, it's a ship that seems to lack a clear vision for its identity, but ...

First Regent experence

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

Our first Regent cruise was a very positive experience. We did the Mediterranean, 14 days from Lisbon to Venice, August 23 to September 6 on Mariner. Food was excellent, service was superb, excursions, for the most part were good as well. We were in a cat. A penthouse and had no complaints about it at all. Our room attendant, Coney and butler Ketut were both outstanding. The suite was always well ...
