Cabin 11249 had plenty of storage space and the largest shower I've ever had at sea!

Here are some of my thoughts:

The Good:

We stayed at a terrific, boutique 22-room hotel in Lisbon called the Sao Vicente Alfama before embarking;

Uber worked well to get us around the hilly Alfama neighborhood and to the Port;

Our mini-suites(11249 and 11253)were comfortable and our cabin steward, Rene, did an outstanding job keeping them clean and managing our laundry;

The Epic was not crowded with about 1800 on board; 

The included Premium Beverage Package more than covered our massive cocktail and wine by the glass consumption;

The beverage staff at Maltings, the Atrium and the Garden Cafe were friendly and attentive;

The entertainers in Maltings(Lucas), the Cavern Club(Free Four) and Headliners(two comedians and three rock pianists) were lots of fun;

The Garden Cafe did a great job with my favorite lunches like hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and pizza at the proper temperatures;

The included Specialty Dining Package covered two excellent dinners at Le Bistro and two excellent dinners at La Cucina; 

Several World Cup matches were shown live to large crowds in O'Sheehan's and the Atrium;

The NCL phone app worked well at showing upcoming events and pending stateroom charges; and

The hotel where we stayed after disembarking, the Doubletree Newark Penn Station, had the most awesome bar, restaurant and front desk staff!The Bad:

As you might expect for December in the North Atlantic, the chilly and windy weather made it tough to use our balconies or the open decks;

Due to a river pilot strike in Lisbon and the rough weather, we skipped our stops in the Azores and Bermuda;

The body wash and shampoo in my mini-suite were poor quality.
