Greek Isle Cruise - not so much

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Star

We chose the specific cruise for Santorini and Mykonos. These ports were cancelled due to ship mechanical failure. We also didn't get to stop in Bar, Montenegro - - not sure why. I understand mechanical difficulties. But I don't understand corporate greed who did not refund any of the cruise payments. We got $200 per cabin, on board credit. . . what an insult. Everything is already marked up ...

Norwegian to Guests: "You will be taking this cruise despite broken down ship"

We went into this cruise with high expectations. We are Norwegian Platinum members and are no strangers to cruising, having also cruised on Princess, MSC, and Royal Caribbean. Norwegian has been, to now, our go-to cruise line. We thought we were booking a Greek Isles cruise, but what we got was a cruise of the Dalmatian Coast. As the reader may have already discovered from other reviews, the ...

The ship (Norwegian Star) didn’t make it to 3 of the 6 scheduled destinations, 2 of which were the highlights of the trip, Santorini and Mykonos. They added 2 new ports but we only made it to 1. It was disappointment after disappointment. This also happened to the cruise right before us but Norwegian decided to sail with the Star again anyways, even though they knew the ship had major mechanical ...

Ship engine exploded the cruise before so our itinerary was awful.

I wanted to go to Santorini and Mykonos. The ship's engine apparently exploded the cruise prior (I know because another friend was on that cruise) to the point that people had to put on life vests and go to the deck. But they chose not to tell anyone until after we were underway that this meant we could not go to the two best ports. Instead we were on the ship for almost half of the time. And ...

We have cruised with many different cruise lines in the past but NCL has been our go to cruise line for several years and we have had wonderful trips until recently. we did a caribbean cruise the end of September on the Breakaway, which included 4 ports. we arrived at the first port at 4 pm and most everything was closed. the next day we woke up to find that we had not moved on to our second ...

Interrupted Trip due to lack of proper maintenance of engines, missed port!

We chose this cruise because we had six other couples going as well. Our 30th wedding anniversary is around this time and we first sailed on a cruise 30 years ago with Norwegian for our honeymoon. We hadn't been on a cruise since then and wanted to celebrate our anniversary with Norwegian. We were so excited to see Italy, Greece, and most importantly Croatia. We had been watching documentaries ...

This was the third time I cruised with NCL, and it was really nice as always! The Norwegian Star is a bit older but they renovated it last year, which was done in an amazing way. You could barely tell it was an older ship. The entertainment was fantastic, such Broadway like shows, all of the artists are so talented. I enjoyed each and every show! The food is also amazing, we just visited ...

This Eastern Mediterranean cruise was a bucket list trip for my husband and I, and NCL was a great line to do it on. We are normally Carnival cruisers, but decided to book this one when Carnival didn't offer one that suited us. This was our first cruise with NCL since 1987, and we enjoyed "Freestyle Cruising" so much, we will definitely cruise with them again! The ship was beautiful and very ...
