Great crew, but not at 100%

I selected this cruise as a getaway. It wasn't long, and it wasn't exotic, but it did push me into Diamond Plus territory. Navigator of the Seas is running three day / four day cruises out of Los Angeles to Ensenada and Catalina Island. I selected a four night cruise. Balcony staterooms were not available when I booked, but I put in a minimal bid for one from their RoyalUp offer, and scored ...

Our cruise on the Navigator of the Seas took place at the end of May in 2022. The cruise was booked as a way to get out of town and cruise again after waiting way too long for other cruises that had been cancelled on us. I am normally a bigger fan of NCL than Royal, but my wife prefers Royal. We only live about 25 miles from the port and have cruised out of there on multiple occasions. We are ...

A fun little getaway over memorial day weekend on the Navigator of the Seas

Overview: We did a quick 3-night cruise on Navigator of the Seas out of Los Angeles over the Memorial Day weekend. We were limited on time, so we felt this would be doable. According to our waiter, this was the first cruise sailing at full capacity since the start of the pandemic. Because it was a holiday cruise and was full, pricing was more expensive than what I’ve typically ...

Great to be cruising again

Overall, we had a pleasant experience. Except for the cabin steward who cleaned our room the day we embarked, all staff members were fantastic!. Our room had not been cleaned by 2:00…and we were not given an extension cord for a medical device despite asking him twice. Our Diamond Member concierge came through, however. Our cabin steward, Shinnelle was amazing for the remaining part of the ...

This was our first cruise on a Voyage class ship, though our 11th on a RCL ship. We enjoyed the cruise a lot, it felt so short just because we're used to 7-day cruises. It was weird because the ship was only 60-70% at capacity, so it felt very empty. The environs: The promenade was good. It was still pretty loud with the opening to the casino below, and the pub and other bars pretty open to ...

Had a great time, but a few things were off

Overall, we had a terrific time on our short cruise. I was just really pining to get on a cruise ship again (last time having been May, 2019), and the timing was good and the price was good. We had a balcony room (1532, which is Deck 10, Port, 2nd cabin from the very front). I really just wanted to enjoy my drinks package to the fullest, and have some of that carefree relaxation that for me ...

Very Nice Cruise

I took my son and 2 grand daughters on this weekend cruise. We were in cabins 6292 & 6294. I chose these balcony cabins so that we could open the connecting balconies and they slept 3 people each. I had a feeling my 7 year old grand daughter would want us to have an "all girls" cabin. The cabin was on the side of the ship facing the city of San Pedro and so we had a nice view as we sailed out to ...

Enjoyable short cruise with family

I know some recent cruises have been sailing pretty not full but our ship had more than 2,000 passengers including several hundred kids (188 alone that needed the pre-boarding covid tests according to the guard I spoke to). It felt comfortable … not too crowded but plenty lively. Ship: We have never been on this ship nor this class of ship. We really liked it! The ice skating rink is awesome. ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

I booked this cruise last minute as the price was right. I was excited to learn once we got onboard that there were only 1100 guests onboard. The ship constantly felt empty. Even at normally busy times. There was never a wait for elevators and it was always easy to find a seat in any venue. I felt a little bad for the crew that this sailing was so empty. This ship itself looked fantastic. ...

Felt good to be out again, but some points of concern

Overall, we had a great time. This three night cruise was from Los Angeles, CA to Ensenada, Mexico. Guests that were vaccinated were given wrist bands that identified you as "fully vaccinated". On board the ship, there were "vaccinated only" sections clearly marked, however, this wasn't enforced. There was no obvious checking of wristbands. After the first day, guest without the wrist ...
