We picked the cruise as it was longer than those we'd taken before and because the ports-of-call included many where I had never been. And my partner had never visited any. It also allowed for us to spend time pre-cruise with a friend in Italy and with some relatives in Spain.
The several changes of starting port were annoying at best. We understand that the first was necessitated by the ...
We thought we would write you and about our trip on the Viking Orion to Alaska (Booking 6319076).
Our trip was everything we could hope for on the ship. Our room was wonderful with a of view of each port. The services of your staff were beyond anything we could wish for. Plus, the food was a 4 star plus. We even made friends along the way, which we hope will continue in the coming years. This ...
Always on our wish list to see Alaska, and we were drawn to the small ships Viking offered. The Orion did not disappoint. Beautiful ship, nice and new. Big enough to have plenty to do and places to go but small enough to enjoy without getting lost or having too many people on board. Dining was very good, whether it was One World Cafe or the main dining room. Manfredi's was tasty, could have ...
The ship and cabin were just as beautiful as marketed. Everything was clean and wonderfully maintained. The entertainment was very good. The facilities such as the spa and ice grotto are not to be missed. The housekeeping staff couldn’t have been more wonderful and attentive. In fact, all the staff were very friendly and professional.
But…the staff, especially in the main buffet, ...
Our third Viking cruise in 12 months proved as wonderful as the two previous ones. The dining and wine are consistently excellent. The dinner wines are varied and above average. Particularly enjoyable in the casual dining area is the fresh sushi bar - every evening - as a light, delicious dining option. The included tours are quite sufficient on this particular trip. The tour of Greenwich, ...
There is not a lot to say when everything was excellent. This was my second cruise on Viking and although the ships are identical, they did improve the amount of storage in the standard Verandah cabin. Still I find their standard verandah cabins small or a luxury ship. However the public areas are numerous, large, and beautifully decorated so spending time outside the cabin is actually ...
We travelled on Viking Sea, Empires of the Mediterranean, from Athens to Venice departing 15th June, and also booked the two nights pre-cruise stay in Athens. This was our first Viking cruise, albeit postponed twice due to the pandemic. We are fairly experienced cruisers, and tend to favour lines such as Azamara and Celebrity. We like small ships. We were impressed by Viking’s marketing, in ...
After waiting for 2 years because of the pandemic, we enjoyed every single day on our Viking Mediterranean cruise. The staff and team at Viking provided an experience that exceeded all our expectations. The food, entertainment and activities made this cruise even more special.
Like everyone else we were concerned about Covid before our cruise. Once we boarded, we never gave it another ...
This ship, the level of comfort and individualized service, were incredible. Clean, elegant areas on the ship. Interesting tours and sightseeing events. Viking is known for really taking care of their passengers. My favorite destination on this trip was going to Norway and seeing the fjords.
Although we would like to experience the entertainment, most shows started too late for us. However, the ...
Thoroughly enjoyed this Viking ocean cruise. Enjoyed all the beautiful ports though cool, cloudy and sometimes raining!! Though was 80* in Berlin the day we were there-thought it was such a long day-with 4 hour train ride there and back. Can’t say Ihave a favorite port because they were all unique and beautiful. The cruise path was well thought out and length of time for the whole cruise was just ...
