Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

My wife and I are both Diamond Plus with Royal Caribbean and sail every 2-3 weeks from Central Florida Ports (Port Canaveral, Tampa). We earned our status and always look forward to the great service and recognition perks for our status. The Oasis does not give a hoot if you are Diamond Plus. You are treated like cattle. Royal Caribbean, Company Policy (fleet wide) is concierge lounge and priority ...

Went with a group , too late to get a mini suite so we had a regular room with balcony. The whole ship needs to be remodeled, the pools are nice, low ceiling in the common area, rust stains all around the boat, our deck , big with two chairs and a table in need of refreshing coat, between the deck you could see the damage from the sea air, galvanic corrosion, the room right out of the love boat ...

The ship itself is magnificent. There is nothing physical that is not impressive. Central Park is a wonder at sea. The Promenade is like nothing I could imagine. But, all that wonder ends when it comes to the amenities. The Cabin: While the cabin is adequate size and the balcony is generous, the rest is second rate. The bed had a foam layer with little cones on the mattress that made ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

I was SO bored. I don't fly so this was my only way of getting back from the US but it was deathly dull. The only good thing was how well it copes with rough seas - you would hardly know we were in a storm but it was just so dull, dull, dull. The foreign TV channels were showing blockbuster movies but the English film channel was showing deathly dull art house movies. The lectures were really ...

Disappointed

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Conquest

I chose this cruise because it had two ports that I had not yet visited. I was disappointed for the following reasons: 1. The telephone in our cabin did not work. I called guest services, they promised to send someone but never did. 2. The air conditioning did not cool. Colter called someone and claimed it was checked but I couldn't tell the difference. 3. Guest services answered the ...

We were rerouted .Poor communication prior to cruise. Storm was reported days before leaving but they waited until we left to tell us we were being rerouted. Poor communication on how to re do shore excursions for new ports, Limited acceess to plan shore excursions on such short notice. Ultimate beverage package was not ultimate at all. There were a lot of limitations, and we were charged $1.75 ...

Cruise director discriminates against people from countries other than Britain

This ship does not suit international people. Too many bad jokes about Americans being obese, other people's use of English and other races. May not be intended but compare to other cruises it's a narrow minded ship. I wonder if the cruise director will change her tune if the ship sails other routes. On the plus side, the food is good and majority of the staff are friendly. Cabin is ...

Pretty ship but too many issues

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

We cruised with 7 friends and we all chose Norwegian because we have always cruised through Carnival and wanted to try a different cruise line for comparison. From the moment we stepped on the ship we knew we made a bad choice. Although the ship was clean and the food was excellent, the service was mediocre at best, and we had several issues with our stateroom. The wait staff very seldom ever ...

The ship itself was well equipped, our inside cabin was a good size. Both the embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. The service on board ship was good, our cabin attendant was very good. As far as we are concerned the two things that really let this cruise down was its daytime activities, and the food. We did not like what was served in the main dining room most evenings so we ...

Because the ship was smaller, you have a more in depth service from the staff, this was true, the staff were fantastic, all were friendly and so very helpful in every way, the food in the Ocean View Cafe was superb, the chef's worked really hard, and produced the most wonderful array of cuisine, the ship was clean, and our cabin was small but manageable. The pool/sun deck was open until late, the ...
