Review for a Arctic Cruise on Silver Cloud Expedition

We managed to book our cruise/expedition at a very good price due to a late booking, our previous cruise with Scenic Eclipse was cancelled at very short notice. Which was disappointing at the time, but Silverseas have now gained a loyal follower! I can't imagine travel on any other line after the great experience that we had. We were met at Oslo and Tromso by Silverseas agents and ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

For our tenth or so cruise, we chose Seabourn Sojourn to Alaska. We are very happy with that decision. We had a balcony suite. I think all cabins are suites. Not a separate room, but a large cabin with separate sitting area and curtains separating the lounge area from the bed. There is a separate shower with glass door, a bit small, but good for a ship; and a tub. Double sink vanity which is a ...

We chose this cruise for itinerary and dates. We were celebrating our 50th anniversary. We flew into Vancouver on Canada Day. Took a taxi from the airport to the Hyatt Regency. Traffic was light. Taxi rates from the airport are fixed. $35 CD All taxis take credit cards. We were happy that we were able to check into the hotel early. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite with a balcony. We ate ...

We picked this cruise because of the itinerary as we have never been to Alaska or Canada before. We stayed extra nights in Vancouver before the cruise which i would highly recommend as it is beautiful city with so much to see & do. i must say that we had exceptional weather and were able to see so many wonderful sights.. The scenery was spectacular as was the wildlife which included ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Le Laperouse

The crew were unfailingly friendly yet efficient. The organisation of embarkation, disembarkation and the multiple excursions was flawless, and supplemented by daily debriefing/briefing sessions which ensured passengers were well informed as to the requirements and expectations for each day's activities. Shore excursions were supervised by highly qualified, well-informed and enthusiastic ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Star Breeze

User Avatar

Iceland bucket-list trip on a tired old ship. Everything about the ship was off on this trip--rooms were worn, carpets stained, tables scratched, etc, tours late or over-booked, food so-so-ish, and service mostly good, but occasionally lax. Everyone from the Captain, yes the Captain, on down seemed unhappy with the ship and the itinerary. Rumors circulated that the Captain had complained about ...

My wife and I are both senior and retired and this was our first and only cruise so far. We certainly chose the best, everything about our Viking cruise was top notch. Embarkation was a breeze, very efficient with our bags delivered to our cabin in a very timely manner while we enjoyed welcome drinks served by really friendly crew members. Our cabin was very comfortable and well ...

It was our first cruise, and this experience made us cruise lovers! Viking Cruise is all-inclusive cruise line, so our cruise was quite comfortable, but level of luxury was not too much. It is suitable for people who like to enjoy not luxurious floating but exploring. You can have enough time to see around at each port, ports were sometimes a bit far from city center though. (Especially in ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Quest

User Avatar

We are long time Seabourn cruisers recently off a 16 day cruise on Quest. Last year on an 18 day trip on Ovation we noticed many changes, not for the good. This trip, it’s clear the product has sunk far below what it once was. 1. Dinner Service in the Restaurant/Colonnade. Three dinners where we casually appeared between 7:30 and 8:30. Result: At least a half hour between courses. Water ...
