This was my 23rd cruise, 1st with Norwegian Cruise Line. Really liked freestyle dining, this would be the main reason I would sail Norwegian again. Food was good in buffet and main dining restaurants. The steaks at Cagneys were very tender and the service was great. Frenh Restaurant was ok but did not care for items offered. We selected an aft facing cabin for our Panama Canal transit, boarding in SFO. A great treat for us was to watch the Navy Blue Angles practice over the bay just before we left. That alone was worth the trip. Leaving SFO under the Golden Gate with picture perfect weather was a tremendous experience.

We chose this cruise because we wanted to do a full transit of the Panama Canal. It left from San Francisco and sailed out under the Golden Gate Bridge, which was wonderful. We also enjoy "Fleet Week" activities by the Blue Angel Navy team while waiting to sail!
