Good experience

Review for Zenith to Canary Islands

We have been on a number of cruises and we tend to select by itinerary and price rather than cruise line and have been on RCI, Princess, MSC, Oceania, Azamara and HAL. We selected this cruise to give us the opportunity to have some warmer weather and there are not many lines cruising in this area.Cost was also attractive. Pullmantur focus on Spanish speaking markets but all staff speak ...

Mein Schiff 1 - Solid German Cruise-Craftsmanship

Review for Mein Schiff to Canary Islands

Single traveler on 'Canary Islands And Madeira' cruise with 'Mein Schiff 1' from Las Palmas. I chose this cruise to experience the brand new ship and 'TUI Cruises'. Embarkation - This was done very quickly. The baggage already waited in front of my stateroom when I boarded the ship after my excursion to the city, that was about 4 hours after CheckIn. Security Drill - Cruise guests tightly ...

Decent value for money

Review for Marella Dream to Canary Islands

All in all it was a good experience and did not feel like the plague ship some reviews have mentioned (I was a tad concerned on departure). Positives All the crew were really lovely and helpful - especially our cabin steward, the staff of coffee port and reception. Show performers were enthusiastic and performed well - the tribute to broadway was particularly good. The Kora-La ...

Better Than Expected!

This was our first cruise and the December and January reviews were so bad we nearly cancelled. That would have been a big mistake. The general organisation including flights, transfers and daily information about ports of call was excellent. All the staff were helpful, polite and courteous. The ship was immaculately clean and a very high priority was given to hygiene on board. The food in the ...

Took this short pre-Christmas cruise with my husband and another couple. We booked last minute and had never been with Marella before, only P&O. Our cabin was quite roomy with plenty of storage. We had a bath and a pretty powerful shower. It is dated and in need of a refurb but kept exceptionally clean. We were all inclusive and paid extra to upgrade our drinks package, if you like a drink ...

Six in the Canaries

Review for Celestyal Majesty to Canary Islands

Six of us wanted to cruise together, we thought this was a good price - £800 each for all inclusive. We had a wonderful time on Thomson Majesty. WE all thought the cabins tired and dated and very small but this did not spoil our experience. We were impressed with the buffer selections on deck 10, and particularly enjoyed the omelettes for breakfast. The restaurant for dinner at night was ...

This is our second Cruise (first was with Costa) and overall we loved The Majesty. She's an old girl, and as long as you don't expect Royal Caribbean Standards for a Thomson price, you won't be disappointed. We had done our research before leaving as we had read many negative reviews, so we knew we had to pay $15 for a safe, and we also knew the cabins were going to be small - but knowing ...

We decided to take a 14 day winter break to the Canary Islands. We left from Bristol after a slight delay and arrived in Las Palmas about 8:00pm. The Thomson staff at the airport were helpful and getting on to Blue No 2 bus was very straightforward. We were spoken to on the bus and everything explained clearly. A quick bus journey approx 40 mins got us to the ship. Embarking the ship was a very ...

So lets discuss the things that you are really interested in? As you would expect the basis in which you live is no different to that in any hotel the more you pay the better room you live in, now this is not to say that there is no different from a hotel as of course there is, The real estate if I can call it that is different, so what do you get? Well I think firstly I have to point out that ...

Great Value Cruise to the Canaries on Thomson Spirit

Review for Marella Spirit to Canary Islands

User Avatar

SHORT VERSION Thomson Spirit is an old ship but with a fantastic crew, great food and offers very good value – including an “all inclusive” option which includes house wines, some beers and standard spirits. All prices in sterling, no service charges or taxes. Entertainment good for the size of the ship especially the musicians. The age of the ship does mean it looks tired in places and ...
