Good, but not a "Premium All-Inclusive" as Mein Schiff advertises...

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Mein Schiff

Just came back from our first ever Mein Schiff cruise, and my first German speaking ship experience (my partner has been once on the AIDA). This was our 28th cruise. I, a non-german, but German speaking person, give this ship a 3 out of 5. My partner, German born and raised, gives it a 4. Both of us liked a few things, and disliked a few others. All in all, we found the "Premium All Inclusive" ...

Mein Schiff 1 - Solid German Cruise-Craftsmanship

Single traveler on 'Canary Islands And Madeira' cruise with 'Mein Schiff 1' from Las Palmas. I chose this cruise to experience the brand new ship and 'TUI Cruises'. Embarkation - This was done very quickly. The baggage already waited in front of my stateroom when I boarded the ship after my excursion to the city, that was about 4 hours after CheckIn. Security Drill - Cruise guests tightly ...

Trying really hard but awful entertainment!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Marella Discovery

Some lovely restaurants attended by excellent waiting staff. Three of the six restaurants have an additional charge applied. Most of the food was very good with only one or two disappointing meals experienced during our week long stay. The bars look very 70's but were also well attended. The cabins are a bit bland whilst the communal parts of the ship appear very dated. My wife and I enjoyed ...

An excellent choice even if you don't speak German

The fact that it was a German-speaking cruise and we have very little German did not matter since all crew speak English. Safety announcements are also in English. This was our first-ever cruise and we were truly amazed at the quality of everything. Staff: The crew are well selected, well trained, friendly, and clearly happy in their jobs. Food: The main Atlantik restaurant is first class. ...

Good but could be better

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Marella Discovery

My partner usually cruises with Royal Carribean however I Persuaded her to try Thomson. The ship is impressive being an ex Royal Carribean ship however Thomson appear to be still trying to get a grip of running a bigger ship. The evening entertainment was good on most nights and the variety excellent. The entertainment during the day around the pool could have been better and more varied. The ...

Excellent First Cruise Experience

My wife and I have just returned from our first 7 day Western Mediterranean cruise aboard the Tui Discovery. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found pretty much everything to be complete opposite to some of the highly critical reviews we read before departure which made us a little apprehensive. All of the staff and crew were friendly and helpful with particular mention to Leah our cabin ...

Excellent Value for Money

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on MSC Armonia

Some poor reviews and left me with what turned out to be unfounded concerns about to expect on this cruise. Our embarkation went like clockwork as did pretty much everything else on the cruise. We had a mini suite on Deck 12 and it was fantastic. The balcony was more than adequate for two people, our bed was comfortable and tonnes of storage. Everything very clean throughout the ship. Our ...

Travelling as a solo passenger, I have just returned from a cruise to the Canary Islands and Morocco with MSC Armonia. We usually sail with Thompson but the MSC cruise seemed a cheaper option as there is little no single supplement surcharge. Here are my thoughts and impressions. The ship and services After its recent upgrade I found the ship to be well maintained and modern. My cabin (an inside ...

After many cruises on the Fantasia Class and Musica Class of MSC Cruises we this time booked the much smaller MSC Armonia for our winter getaway. We were very excited about the refurbishment and lengthening of ship and was looking forward to the cruise to Morocco and the Canary Island. We booked the new balcony cabin category and had the cheers drinkpackage included. Very smooth and easy ...
