Good, but not a "Premium All-Inclusive" as Mein Schiff advertises...

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Mein Schiff

Just came back from our first ever Mein Schiff cruise, and my first German speaking ship experience (my partner has been once on the AIDA). This was our 28th cruise. I, a non-german, but German speaking person, give this ship a 3 out of 5. My partner, German born and raised, gives it a 4. Both of us liked a few things, and disliked a few others. All in all, we found the "Premium All Inclusive" ...

Mein Schiff 1 - Solid German Cruise-Craftsmanship

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on Mein Schiff

Single traveler on 'Canary Islands And Madeira' cruise with 'Mein Schiff 1' from Las Palmas. I chose this cruise to experience the brand new ship and 'TUI Cruises'. Embarkation - This was done very quickly. The baggage already waited in front of my stateroom when I boarded the ship after my excursion to the city, that was about 4 hours after CheckIn. Security Drill - Cruise guests tightly ...

An excellent choice even if you don't speak German

The fact that it was a German-speaking cruise and we have very little German did not matter since all crew speak English. Safety announcements are also in English. This was our first-ever cruise and we were truly amazed at the quality of everything. Staff: The crew are well selected, well trained, friendly, and clearly happy in their jobs. Food: The main Atlantik restaurant is first class. ...

NO COMPARISON

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Star Flyer

I had a wonderful crossing on the Flyer in Oct. 2015 and booked early to secure a good cabin this year. Overall, there was no comparison with last year. I am not going to moan about things that are outside anyone's control ( poor winds, virus outbreak, no internet ), but my main complaint ( and that of many others ) was that the on- board entertainment was abysmal! I know, from before, that ...

Crossing the Atlantic the right way!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Star Flyer

You can cross the Atlantic Several ways; cruise liner, plane or swim if you've got the time and energy. But the best way, in my opinion, is on Star Flyer, a four masted barque built for the job. You will find lots of reviews of the ship on line but in essence the ship specialises in recapturing the days of the clipper ships but a tad more luxurious for the modern day passenger. The return rate is, ...

This was our 3rd cruise and we sailed early October from Palma Majorca our flight was early out of Manchester and we were on board by 11:00 am, we booked an inside state room as wanted to see what it was like as our previous 2 cruises we'd had balcony rooms and was surprised when we got on board as given the key to an outside room we queried it at guest relations and were told that we had been ...

We flew from Newcastle to Palma, and arrived just after 11am, however it took us over 4 hours to actually get on the boat, even though we were last on the coach at the airport it still sat there for another 30 minutes. Then they took us to this castle at the top of Palma overlooking the bay and finally the port which took over an hour to check us in. Why don't they have more people taking your ...
