Chose to go on this cruise to determine wether or not we would enjoy it. The result was that we did, and we are looking forward to going on another in the near future. The crew were excellent and the service was worthy of any 5 star hotel that I have stayed at. As for the quality of the food that was excellent as well we couldn't fault it. The portions were more than ample and some nights I found ...
Staff - couldn't fault the staff for the most part they were exceptionally good.
Drinks – P&O don’t do a drinks package other than a buy 20 soft drinks for the price of 19 so those who enjoy a drink run the risk of finding themselves with a high bar bill at the end of the cruise.
Swimming pools and recreation activities - P&O have the basics in the form of pools and hot tubs but not much ...
This was a seven day Southampton to Southampton cruise, Embarkation was quite quick and efficient. We were soon on the ship but it did seem to take a while for the cases to come, but it is a big ship with a lot of passengers so it was only to be expected.
The ship didn't feel very full, there were a lot of spaces in the MDR and the theatre was never full. The cabin was a good size with a good ...
We selected a 7 night cruise on P & O Azura to fit round my working commitments, my wife being retired.
We chose to drive to Southampton from home in Lancashire and set off nice and early at 5am even though it was a Saturday sailing. Traffic and conditions were favourable so we had a great trip and were in Southampton for 9am so stopped at Tesco and COSTA Coffee and arrived in the CPS car ...
I have been on few cruises and have to say this felt like a massive cash grab.
The sky screen has broken pixels and needs repairing.
The buffet food was Very substandard compared to restraunt, and the grab and go bar was chips smuthered in salt and chicken scraps in bread crumbs.
They have no drinks package other than wine, and the pints around the pool are served in scratched plastic ...
We wanted to experience a cruise, and the Fjords was the ideal location. Unfortunately, we experienced the following:
- Inside cabin had stains on the carpet
- Corridor smelt of dirty toilets.
- buffet had scratched plastic cups. The first one I picked up would never be clean, so there would always be a group of scratched dirty cups on the side which were full of dried up food from ...
We booked thise cruise very last minute, only a week prior to departure. The price we paid was very good and we opted forthe Select option and were lucky to be upgraded. Embarkation was swift, we were on board within 10 minutes of arriving at the terminal.
The good:
Meridian dining room was superb, excellent food and service. We did freedom dining and didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes ...
The upside? Check in was like clockwork, our cabin (inside) was spacious and well equipped and staff were plentiful, friendly and well trained.
The downside? Most everything else! The entertainment was generally poor and the programme seemed only geared to enriching the cruise line (learn about wrinkles and then buy treatments) and so pensioner based. Then silly stuff like the bar most people ...
We have just returned from a lovely cruise aboard the Azura down to the Canaries.
Food in the MDR’s and buffet were excellent. We also went to Sindhu, the Glasshouse and the Beach House. Enjoyed them all.
Entertainment in the evening was of the usual high standard, and we were unable to get around to see all the acts. We were however a little disappointed with the daytime offerings. But ...
First time with p&o cruises we will never go again, boat just lacks finish, food wasn't very good very poor at some times, vegetables were always hard and not much choice in buffet areas, cheese and biscuits were terrible little pieces of so called cheese and no fruit at all.Sindhu restaurant was very good, glass house parfait was horrible. We spoke to various people during our two weeks and they ...
