I’m too late submitting my review to Celebrity, so I thought I’d post here. I took my first Celebrity Cruise this month (Dec ‘23) and I had preconceived notions it would be classy, if not a bit too much. I found the ship to be a smaller, lovely, dated ship, with plenty of fun and relaxation. There was ample things to do or not do, depending on your mood.
My biggest disappointment that will ...
I've cruised on 5 different cruise lines out of Florida, and Celebrity is one of my favorites. Cabin was a Celebrity Concierge Select cabin but was cheaper than a veranda, so I quickly booked it. It was the same size but with a smaller veranda than the regular veranda cabin I had on the Celebrity Silhouette in November. We got caught in a traffic tie-up and missed the special captain's lunch. We ...
This was the second time on Celebrity and definitely the last. We chose this line because of the date and the itinerary to ABC islands. We booked into the RETREAT due to my husband's disabilities and were very disappointed. We had hoped for more easy access to the Retreat lounge, dining room and sundeck but we had to wait for long periods of time waiting for elevators that were empty enough to ...
This cruise is quite the opposite of a Carnival ship in my opinion. It’s pretty relaxed and more for the “older crowd”. I’d say there were only about 30 adults total on the sailing under the age of 40, so it’s not the cruise to go on if you like fun game shows and wild parties. But, the Crew members on this ship are definitely the best I’ve ever experienced between any cruise I’ve taken with all ...
December 2023 - 9 day cruise to Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curacao, Bonair.
We went basic, with a standard veranda cabin, classic drink package, and premium WiFi. It was our 2nd Celebrity cruise, but around 20th cruise overall.
Food: Main dining room had limited choices for dinner, quality was good to very good and service was excellent. Portions are small, but waiters are happy to bring multiple ...
Celebrity cruises are not a premium or 5 star line despite what they try to claim. Having many cruises since the late seventies, aboard many different lines and ships, I can honestly state that today Celebrity is just another mass market line hiding behind their old reputation. First off, if you smoke do not even think of sailing with them, unless you enjoy being treated like a third world ...
Charges to my credit card do not match what was online on the ship.
Further, we ran into the couple who dined with us on the ship at the airport and found out that they had the norovirus during the cruise and were allowed to come to dinner. On last few days both my husband and I were feeling under the weather and I came home sick with the flu or something. This was irresponsible of the cruise ...
We have been on many cruises (about 27 now) and have been suite guests for many of them, commonly referred to as Retreat guests. Well, now, on Celebrity they have taken away many of the perks that used to come with being Retreat Guests like no butler service, and the room was just a little bit larger than a veranda room at 3 times the cost. Also, the Sundeck was only reachable by climbing stairs, ...
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise (our 9th)-
Great staff, good slick service generally and the ship was in absolutely fine condition given it is about to be dry docked and refurbed.
Main complaint was around chaos every evening in MDR and menu choice which was pretty poor. For the first time every cruising we chose to got Ocean View one evening as the starters consisted of 4 soups and ...
The terrible experience for us was the boarding. Coming from Europe we needed the Esta Permit which we got online. While we had no problem getting into the USA we had problems to get onto the ship. Nowhere does Celebrity state that you have to bring the Esta in print or show it on your handy. As ours was applied for quite a while ago I had problems retrieving ours, took 45 minutes and was a very ...
