Great Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with our 2 adult children and their spouses. We were very happy with our choice of going with Royal Caribbean again - we had a great time. The ship isn't too big so we don't feel overwhelmed by it's size. Our cabin attendant was very knowledgeable, and pleasant to visit with, she was able to answer any question we had. The two gentlemen that ...

I chose this cruise because it sailed from San Juan which I had not seen before. There were many ports; five in seven days. Two ports, Granada and Commonwealth of Domenica, I had seen before. Domenica is my favorite island in the Caribbean. Still largely unspoiled by developers, and a beautiful rain forest. My shore excursion included Trafalgar Falls and Emerald Pool. It was difficult hiking to ...

Very good cruise experience. Loved the islands. A few issues. Still fun.

Overall this was a very good cruise. Like all vacations there can be issues and this trip was no different. This was our 11th cruise and our second on RCCL. The food on the Jewel was great. The temperature inside the ship was perfect. Our cabin steward was great. The ship stage entertainment was okay. Most live music in the Centrum was so freaking loud you had to shout at the person next to you to ...

I chose this ship because of it's itinerary. I wanted to visit the ports it offered. The cabin was always clean, comfortable and had a great view through the balcony which we loved. Every single day after returning from the excursions whe went directly into our cabin and sit at the balcony for a while. Views were spectacular. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. Staff from the Windjammer ...

Disappointing

After seven cruises with RC we have decided this was our last one. Although the ship itself was in good condition and very clean it appears they have kept their pricing pretty much in check at the expense of lowering the bar, especially in the dining rooms. The menu selections and quality of the food has gone way downhill and we ended up eating in the specialty restaurants four of the seven ...

I chose this cruise because of the great ports of call. I wanted to experience some sun and fun. I arrived to the ship by 1:00 pm and was pleasantly surprised of the organized embarkation and team coordination in the process. It took very little time to board the ship. While on board, I was impressed of the great service that we received. The crew were incredibly friendly and attentive. The ...

This was my first cruise. A friend of mine booked this cruise and several of us went together. But if Royal Caribbean ships are all like this I would certainly stick with this cruise line. The food and service were exceptional! We had 16 people in our group and we all ate the evening meal together which was wonderful of the dining manager to make happen. Our servers went above and beyond the call ...

Went on a family cruise with 30 plus family members (mostly adults). We had a great time with no one thrown overboard or forced to walk the plank. Some improvements are needed/suggested - such as... Windjammer Buffet was OK but not exceptional - baked goods/desserts limited - I don't think I saw a cake, muffin or cupcake on the whole cruise. Main Dining Room food very good overall - Wait ...

For a long time I've wanted to do the Southern Caribbean itinerary out of San Juan on Jewel. After "sampling" Allure and Anthem, we decided that the Radiance class is the right size for us. Taking into consideration adverse weather (blizzard Stella a week before our flight proved me right) and jet lag (12 hours from Tel Aviv + 4 hours to SJ), we decided to arrive 4 days before the cruise. In ...
