My husband and I spent 7 beautiful days aboard the Carnival Legend sailing through the Western Caribbean to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We started off in Tampa setting sail for Cozumel, Mexico. After leaving Cozumel, we headed to Belize; followed by the Isla Roatan Honduras, the Grand Caymans and back to Tampa.
I have to admit there was good and bad, as in most all vacations. It had been 9 ...
This was a surprise for my birthday from my husband. We booked less than two weeks out so that was a problem for the dining choices. The late dinner is too late for us not to mention that by going to the later dinner, you will miss most of the shows. We did eat in the dining room the first two nights and it was good. My husband did have to send his steak back because it was overcooked. He doesn't ...
It has been 29 years since the last time I was on a cruise from any provider. My husband isn't a cruiser-type. I've been busy attending college, working as a public accountant, having my babies and then raising them and working as a private school administrator. This was a surprise high school graduation gift for my oldest son and I brought my youngest son along too. There didn't seem to be a lot ...
Just sailed the Carnival Legend on May 18th, 2014.
We flew into Tampa on the day of sailing and reached the Port of Tampa with ease. The embarkation process was extremely easy and all the Carnival employees were very courteous and helpful. Noticed the ship appeared to be empty, not many faces around....Heard from crew member later that day that the ship was only about half full....Love it ...
I haven't sailed Carnival for 6 years and wasn't really sure what to expect. I just had a really good week on Legend and am pleasantly surprised by how good this cruise was overall. The check in staff at Tampa were very helpful and friendly which was a good start. I was on the ship within 20 minutes of arriving at the terminal at around 1pm and the staterooms were already available. What really ...
My husband and I went on the 7 day western Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Legend May 25-June 1. Our three year wedding anniversary was on May 28, so we figured that would be the perfect week to go. We had a wonderful experience all around. First of all, the price was affordable for two people in an ocean view room. We live in N. Georgia, so we were able to drive to Tampa the morning of ...
We thought we would never cruise with Carnival again, as our previous experiences had not been so good. This had to do with cleanliness, condition of the ships, and food quality. Well we were invited by some relatives and sailing did we go!
1. Embarkation - Excellent customer service and fast boarding.
2. Cabin - Nice inside cabin with French doors. The vinyl material covering the sofa was torn. ...
My husband and I cruised on the Carnival Legend for our Honeymoon in April 2014. From the moment we stepped foot off the airplane, everything was so simple and easy. I will admit I had some anxiety about how it would be getting on the boat, since I hadn't been on a cruise in several years. It was so easy! They had signs in the Tampa airport for the cruise shuttle to the Carnival port and ...
Third Carnival cruise...first two were on the Paradise and the Glory, so I pretty much knew what to expect. I was not crazy about the decor on the Legend...all those urns! However, it was well maintained and the crew were always out scrubbing, polishing etc. Embarkation was okay once it got moving but debarkation was a bit of a mess...no one really directing people and people were cutting in line ...
There was both good and less than good about this cruise. First the good. The staff - on this cruise was exceptional - always friendly and attentive. Our cabin steward knew us by the end of the first day. The crew was primarily from Eastern Europe and the South Pacific but all spoke English very well. Some accents were harder to understand, but it was never an impediment. The ship - I believe it ...
