Third Carnival cruise...first two were on the Paradise and the Glory, so I pretty much knew what to expect. I was not crazy about the decor on the Legend...all those urns! However, it was well maintained and the crew were always out scrubbing, polishing etc. Embarkation was okay once it got moving but debarkation was a bit of a mess...no one really directing people and people were cutting in line and getting off before their specified times, not waiting in the designated areas etc. so that was a bit annoying. Food was still the old menu....since some ships have switched over...so some things were very good and others not as much, but I managed to find plenty that I liked. The steakhouse however is amazing. The portions are huge and the steaks are delicious. If you make a reservation the first night you will get a complimentary bottle of wine. For only 35 dollars you get a nice appetizer, a salad, a large entree with sides and a spectacular dessert. A real steal. Our balcony room was nice and large..plenty of storage for clothes and also plenty of shelves in the bathroom. The shows were pretty good...you have to give those dancers a lot of credit for learning and synchronizing all of the different routines. Every member of the crew was polite and friendly. Our shore excursions were mostly sightseeing. Once again, some were better than others. All in all we had a very pleasant experience. The only downside was listening to other passengers complaining and finding fault constantly. If that is all you are going to do I can't imagine how you could possibly enjoy yourself.
