The biggest reason I chose this cruise is because it is Norwegian (my favorite cruise line) and that it has free open bar.....even on Norwegian's private island, Great Stirrup Cay. Great ship and super crew. Our cabin was on deck 5 immediately off the centrum and could not have been more convenient. And it was surprisingly quiet. The crew is super friendly. I love the private island in the ...
Cruise was a good experience with some problems.
The biggest was at the specialty steak restaurant where we had the poorest service I ever had in a restaurant. It took 3 hours to dine there. It took well over an hour to serve our steak after the appetizers and salad were finished. We complained to the waitress and she did nothing. We asked to speak to the captain and it took over 20 ...
My wife and I decided to take a short cruise but it had to fit our locked in schedule. This 3 night cruise fit perfectly with our availability.
PROs
- Sail at night to capitalize on shore time.
- So many activities onboard to choose from you cant do all that you want.
- Friendly helpful staff
- Balcony is worth the extra expense
CONs
- Free alcohol creates drunks of all ...
The basketball courts are elevated on posts above the top deck but the thudding is so loud it is not only loud in the underneath/open bar area but can be heard through the floor into the staterooms below it - a constant and steady dull THUMPING. Study the ship layout and AVOID all staterooms beneath the basketball courts (starboard/right would be 0230 through 0250 or so). They can't move you to ...
The positives:
*Rooms were fairly spacious and well-maintained
*Free style dining is a nice alternative to more traditional cruise destinations
*The staff was outstanding. Some of the kindest, most helpful staff I've encountered. With the exception of Guest Service Representatives, who weren't entirely helpful, the staff was easily the best part of the experience.

I chose this sailing because the price was right for two longtime friends to spend a few days away from life's daily callings. I booked directly with NCL for March 20 sailing and return on March 24, 2017. What the booking representative neglected to tell me was that the ship would be full of college/grad students on what was billed as a College Party Cruise trip. I booked about 25 days before ...
We flew into Miami a night early. There was a bit of a snafu with the Pullman hotel, but NCL sorted it out right quick and we were soon ready to explore. We had enough time to grab some last minute items at the nearby CVS and some Cuban food for lunch. Sunset over the lagoon was beautiful!
Embarkation was our only real gripe. I have a wallet that is decorated - including two metal crossed ...
My previous NCL cruise down the Mexican cost (Cancun, Cozumel and Roatan Honduras) was amazing, unfortunately, we will never be considering NCL for any future cruises.
This Bahama cruise was the worst cruise we’ve ever experienced.
This cruise was advertised to us as a relaxing family cruise and it was anything but.
We were not told and did not know that the cruise had also been ...
I was looking forward to this cruise because i always had the impression that Norwegian was a high quality cruise line compared to others. I have to say that after one trip with them, I much preferred Royal Caribbean based on service alone. I was truly disappointed in the service that Norwegian provided, it was hard to find people when you needed them, no one went out of their way to help ever, ...
We chose it because we love the Bahamas. No one told us they sold it to college travel groups so 80% were LARGE college groups. In small groups they were ok, but otherwise they were rude. They woke me every night at 330/4am slamming doors and yelling down hallways. I have been on cruises with college kids before, but these were the worst.
The food was awful. The buffet was hot dogs and mac and ...
