We boarded in Hong Kong on 3rd September, we have been loyal to Royal and Voyager is our favourite ship. On boarding it became immediately obvious that something was seriously wrong. The ship was majorly understaffed and we soon discovered that this was due to Voyager going in for a refit immediately we disembarked!. We had booked the cruise as part of a package with a China Tour included and ...
We recently sailed with Royal Caribbean from Hong Kong to Singapore. We have 25 cruises under our belt and my wife is a Crown & Anchor platinum member. I have read other reviews regarding this sailing and concur with all of the comments made. I have waited to post this review because I wanted to give Royal Caribbean the chance to respond to my letter of complaint. Below I have inserted the ...
This cruise is aimed at the Chinese market. Facilities on offer including food menu reflects this fact. Very limited choices and the menu’s all have pictures much like MacDonald’s. Baseball caps, shorts and general weekend wear is accepted in the dining restaurants therefore no need to pack jacket, ties or evening gowns.
Splash pools on deck are used by swimmers determined to do many lengths ...
I have sailed forty-nine nights now on Royal Caribbean ships over the past 7 years. I guess you could say we are ‘experienced cruisers’. This past cruise was our first trip to Asia- sailing from Hong Kong to Singapore. We sailed aboard the Voyager of the Seas. Normally we have thought Royal Caribbean lines to be a slightly better cruise line than Princess and certainly heads above Norwegian ...
We sailed from Hong Kong and walked to the terminal. On arrival there was no signs or staff. As it was raining we headed into the first door we saw. We walked through the terminal looking at maps to work out where we needed to go. Finally we found what looked like the right place to be told no you need to go downstairs. We finally found the port staff and checked in. As we approached the ship our ...
The issue that I have experienced was: This being our 5th/6th RCI cruise we know what to expect generally and that is why we like to cruise with them.
Due to the circumstances not highlighted in advance to us, many of the services provided were either not available or changed for the worst etc.
Examples are -
1) No set table for evening dining. This meant that queues formed each night ...
We went because of receiving an early booking discount. The ship looked rusty and tired, I guess we got what we paid for. We disembarked 18/10/2017 in Singapore and Royal Carribean still owes us thousands of dollars. WHY !!!!!!!!!!!!, 3,000 people on the ship times $2,000, does that equate to $6 million dollars, very interesting !!! Absolute chaos trying to board the ship in Hong Kong. We booked ...
cruise review
1.the food in windjammers was terrible ,the same boring pub style food everyday. There should have been far greater verity.ie more soups styles from Vietnam (pho) fresh spring rolls, some seafood.
2.terrible embarkation at Hong Kong, not organised, staff had no idea what they were doing, its only our good fortune that we are experienced cruisers and knew that photos had to be ...
We were hoping for a positive culinary experience aboard this ship but was crestfallen to discover that this cruise line serves cafeteria food at best. Food in the dining room was stale, low-quality, and unappealing. Dining on the decent salad bar in the Windjammer Cafe became our only option. Additionally, beware of significant price changes. Before our trip we received a high number of emails ...
* We began our cruise in wonderful City of Hong Kong where we spent 4 wonderful days before our cruise. There was plenty to see and do with my family of three and 4 other couple making up a party of eleven. We undertook the get on get off bus tours around the city which took us to most parts of Hong Kong and out to the small and quaint village of Russell. Disneyland, the Peak, shopping, riding the ...
