Our 7 dec 2023-6 jan 2024 celebrity cruise had a great itinerary and wonderful staff but, was a disappointment on many levels, especially when celebrity air left us stranded. so, with almost 20 cruises under our belts, several of them celebrity, and many more in our future, we will never cruise celebrity again. Here are the details, starting with the positive: the 30 day south american ...

Celebrity has gone mainstream

Why pay three times more for a cruise line that is no different than a mainstream cruise line? by cutting corners on food since the food is actually worse than MSC. Limited entertainment venues, just the captain taking over the PA for an hour about navigation details no one cares about, just get us there! The cabin TV's have limited selections with poor to no reception even when at ...

We went with 2 other couples that had lots of status on Celebrity. I did take a Celebrity cruise out of Puerto Rico 20 years ago and it was the best lines ever!! I've been across the Atlantic twice and on numerous other cruise lines. The whole trip was mediocre. Dining was confusing. We were waiting for the table to be cleaned in the dining room and the maitre,d gave our table to some other ...

Celebrity Solstice Cruise - Absolutely Terrible!

I travelled with my mom on Celebrity Solstice (Los Angeles to Los Angeles) and it was our first and last time on Celebrity Cruises. What a huge disappointment! We both have been on other cruise lines such as Regent, Holland America, and Oceania and we both were very disappointed with Celebrity. My mom has been on 50+ cruises and we booked this cruise for the convenience of being able to get on ...

Mediocre Cruise with mediocre dining

Having sailed at least six times on NCL in the last two years, we ventured onto this Celebrity ship to try something different. Huge mistake that we will not repeat. Two positives about this cruise: (1) The staff were generally pleasant and tried hard. (2) Embarkation and disembarkation is the fastest and easiest we ever experienced. Unfortunately that's all there is to say that's ...

Food Poisoning, Room 6212 creaked

The Celebrity Reflection Transatlantic 2014 cruise spoiled me. The Eclipse in 2019 woke me up. Food poisoning does that. I ate in the Celebrity cafe on the 14th floor. I was treated by the medical staff and once the ship docked in Santiago South America I received further treatment. My cabin 6212 creaked incessantly. This ship does need to be overhauled. The dining room experience was ...

After slight fog bound delays at London Heathrow we arrived in San Pedro CA for our pre cruise hotel stay.Must state that the Hotel was only average and we could not get any food after 22.00hrs. Next day embarkation was a delight , less than one hour after leaving the hotel we were in our cabin,8046 which was a CC class.Initially the cabin smelt of stale smoke, after pointing this out to our ...

This was our twelfth cruise to Alaska. Ten were on Princess and the other was on Holland America. As you can tell we are both big Alaska fans. This was our second cruise on the Summit. Our embarkation was only about one-half hour, but priority embarkation was one of the perks of a CC cabin. Some of those who did not have a CC or higher cabin had to wait up to three hours to embark. Our luggage ...

We planned our trip meticulously. Because of my husband's ill health, we flew independently to LA & stayed three days in a hotel where we talked & planned what to do whilst on our trip. On the 7th of May, we headed for the port. Seeing the GMT Summit from a distance was impressive & the staff who noted our disabilities were pleasant & very helpful. We were ushered to the front of the ...
