Disappointingly poor compared to other cruise lines

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

Reception and processing relatively smooth. We had and inside cabin which was clean and reasonably well maintained. Our steward was friendly and accommodating. We were on the 9th deck and the cabin was noisy in the mornings from the pool machinery starting up. We headed to a bar for sail-away only to be hounded by staff selling drinks packages. We are all moderate drinkers and it was ...

We did this cruise because of the ports .. great ports .. but as soon as you go on board you are offered a glass of champagne but while you may be drinking your champagne you are hounded to buy packages .... drink packages .... specialty dining packages .... I did not buy packages because they were very over priced we did go to 2 dining rooms and value for money they were very overpriced .... ...

Great ports but a horrible ship

I have travelled on Celebrity previously with mixed satisfaction. This particular cruise was sub standard. We booked concierge class rooms and the rooms were well worn with tattered fabrics. The veranda door leaked cold air and the bathroom was small also well worn. The main dining room food was barely edible and served lukewarm. We had to eat in specialty restaurants a couple of times just ...

Not the ship or cruise line for this millennium

Beginning on a positive note, Celebrity Milleneum gets special praise for: If you're staying in a suite, and you're lucky enough to have Robert as your suite butler, you can expect especially friendly and helpful service. Service and food at the Tuscan Grill, the costly but fine Italian specialty restaurant, were excellent; waiter Alex was a gem. Qusine is an innovative and very enjoyable ...

Old and outdated ship

The crew, except for the nail technicians, were great and very friendly and attentive. The captain was a hoot. The nail technicians loved to gossip. The ports were good, but the ship excursions were not that great. The ship excursions would take you to shops that tried to pressure you to buying their marked up products. Do private shore excursions since they are much better. The spa was great, but ...

i chose this cruise so i could see some of southeast asia. however the ports were 1.5 - 2.5 hours away from the city we were suppossed to be visiting. for example for a 4 hour excursion to bangkok you spent 5 hours in a bus. 2.5 hours there & another 2.5 hours back to the ship the windows in the reflections lounge- site of the captains club nightly free cocktails- were so dirty you couldn't ...

We did a back to back, the first is the 14 night Vietnam and after the 15 night India. The first cruise was not so good and definitely not the Celebrity standard. It was not well maintained, very dirty when we got onboard the first day. It did improve over the course of the cruise. The furniture for the sunset deck was sticky and just felt dirty all the time. The rest was adequate though, ...

This was our third (and probably last) cruise on Celebrity. We are seasoned cruisers (44 cruises) on a variety of cruise lines. We chose this cruise (SE Asia, February 4, 2018) because we had not been to any of the ports (except Hong Kong) before and because this cruise ended the same day at Signapore that the Sapphire Princess embarked at the same port. We had sailed B2B on Summit before ...

We did this cruise because we wished to see more of Asia after only visiting the Thailand areas like Phuket, Krabi and Koh Samui. This was so disappointing as you spent more time sitting on bus transfers between destinations of between 4hr - 6 hr because the ports were so far away. I also found that what the ship excursion broucher promised and delivered was two very different things. I thought it ...
