We typically cruise on Princess (10 times) and Royal (4 times) but saw a very cheap last minute cruise so we drove to Galveston to check out Carnival since it has been over 10 years since we tried Carnival. For sure the best thing about this cruise were the food options. I tried all the free options. The Buffet is NOT the main feature on this ship and lunch has more options than dinner.

By FAR the worst we've been on
Guest services are unbelievably rude, and have nasty attitudes. The food was TERRIBLE (I even found a tree LEAF in the gravy and the chef shrugged it off and continued to serve it!) The whole cruise was EXTREMELY boring, no poolside games and contests everyday or any kind of fun games and activities around and inside the ship other than some TERRIBLE trivia. The ...
I am writing to you to allow it to be known the dissatisfaction, disappointment, stressful situations (yes, plural) that Carnival made me and my entire family go through on our FIRST trip and possibly the last. It began with our arrival at the port where my husband went to park. At the parking lot, the parking attendant was so distracted talking to multiple people. He told my husband (or so we ...
The cruise was running at restricted levels which made the trip very pleasant. The cruise through the canal was delightful as we were able to see the locks from many different location. They did have crowds on the front decks and some people brought chairs and sat through the locks but most people were very courteous. I compare this to pre covid trip back in 2019 and the front of the ship was just ...
My wife and I characterize ourselves as seasoned cruisers having been on over 15 of them over the years. We took a few years off but now that we retired, we're back at sea.
The cruise left Tampa on a Saturday and arrived back eight days later on a Sunday. We had taken advantage of a great casino promo code linked to our VIFP accounts and got an obstructed view balcony and a fair amount of ...
Cruised on a 4 day cruise on the Carnival Valor in December. I have read 1 and 2-star reviews and I just have to laugh. Some people literally just HAVE to complain. Parking was a breeze. We parked at Cummings Parking Lot, a block away from the port. Parked and the shuttle was waiting. Got on the ship in short order. The Port of New Orleans has it down to a science, despite the COVID issues. ...
Me and my wife have been cruising for years. We've been on about 15 cruises. Platinum members. I understand the Covid epidemic but there is no longer a VIP entrance anymore. Line up with everyone else and wait. Close together in a long line. So much for Covid. No more perks on that. Once on board you can enjoy the food and drinks as usual. The buffet has cut down to the only same 6 items on all 4 ...
My wife and I took this cruise to celebrate my 69th birthday. It was anything but the stress free experience we anticipated. We were surprised upon lining up to embark with the announcement that we had to have a covid test prior to boarding, despite the fact that we were both fully vaccinated. Had they told us beforehand this was needed, we could have gotten one free at our local CVS, as we're ...
This was our 13th cruise. We are in our 50's. We have sailed on Carnival the most. This was the first time we have sailed out of Baltimore and it was extremely easy to board. By far the easiest embarkation ever. Parking is literally right there at the port. We paid $105.00 for 7 days of parking at the pier, which is very reasonable. I want to emphasize that the STAFF were ALL amazing at all ...
This ship just got a “refurb” of sorts. It had pretty new paint and evidently, that’s about it. This ship feels super dated. Our room and the dining room had old 1990s pink trim everywhere. We stayed in room 8430, right under the rear pool on the Lido deck. While we didn’t have any pool noise, every single stupid night we woke up to the sound of scraping chairs from about 2-4am. Being right ...
