Bottom line: don’t waste your money. Either go on a newer ship (which has better reviews) or save money and do Carnival.
I’ve been on 8+ cruises, this is my first with Princess. It was supposed to be our wedding cruise, but due to family health concerns, we had to do it on land. So we kept the cruise as our honeymoon and my bday celebration, with promises of a wonderful time. Unless I’m ...
We were cruising with our family of 12 to include a six-year-old all the way up to my 94-year-old dad. I was very specific in my excursions to make sure that they were 94-year-old friendly. One in particular we booked with the Cable car tour which clearly had a picture of a cable car on the front of it. It was very misleading as the cable car has been broken for two years Per the locals. When we ...
I don’t know if HAL is trying to cut costs or if it is just Eurodam but we go every January on a Caribbean HAL ship and this has been the worst overall yet. They seem to be cutting back on food and drinks everywhere. The LIdo food is more like cafeteria food and the amount you get is a struggle constantly. They don’t allow anyone to get their own drinks anymore, so getting tea or coffee involves ...
This ship gets it right. Food, drinks, service, music, entertainment, activities, and crew. Ship was very full, but always found a calmer space. Crew everywhere to help with anything. Very few complaints...chicken parmesan barely warm, sent it back and next one was the same...and I was charged $50 for pool towels, the attendant who scanned my sea pass card assured me that the scanner worked. The ...
We are cruisers and usually cruise Celebrity. We cruised RC for my 18 year-old son to have the water slides.
If you have a good attitude, this is an amazing experience. I was worried about the comments about the food, so I booked specialty restaurants to ensure we had good food. After the first main dining room experience, I canceled all the specialty reservations. The food was great! My prime ...
The ship itself has an awkward layout and there is a lot of wasted space, multiple rooms aren’t being utilized. There are maybe 1-2 activities during the day that multiple hours apart, the more interesting activities start after 10. If the port stops were a little longer then it would make up for the activities starting so late. The ship has a lot of potential. The food was alright and the menu ...
We were very happy with the service, food, and ambiance of Voyager. Our dining room
Staff were amazing and very accommodating with dietary needs. Our room attendants were always checking to make sure we had everything we needed and rooms were very clean, if a bit dated. Our kids had a blast at the kids and teens clubs and we all loved the entertainment. I was blown away by the quality of the ...
Basically, this was a nice ship with a good-size balcony stateroom and great excurions... with pretty awful food. We're a good mix of four people: in our group of four, we had a diabetic, someone with Celiac Disease and an egg allergy, a vegetarian, and me... I can eat anything. This cruise was pretty bad about options for vegetarians and gluten free people and not great for the quality of food ...
This was our first time on Carnival. We found the check-in process to be extremely efficient out of Tampa and once boarded, no pushing liquor packages or anything. We were directed immediately to our muster station, so got that over withright away, cabin was spotless. Everything was clean neat and even though the cruise was full, it never seemed crowded. We weren’t crazy about the dining room. ...
Extremely mediocre. For beginners, multiple passengers including myself got food poisoning from undercooked chicken that is no longer deep fried. The food on the ship is bland, very mediocre and the lack of options was disappointing. On the NCL app the specialty restaurants said reservations not required, however, every restaurant was filled and so using your specialty dining credit was ...
