THE ITINERARY Our main objective for this trip was to visit Hawaii, and we would like to visit these interesting islands again—there’s more than you can possibly see in 5 days. EMBARKATION Embarkation at Vancouver was very smooth and very well co-ordinated. THE SHIP Comparisons between the Eurodam to her sister-ship (the Niew Amsterdam) are inevitable. As you might expect, she is ...

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Noordam

We chose this because it ended in Honolulu, our home. We sailed from Vancouver and stayed at the Pan Pacific which was right on the pier! I highly suggest that hotel if you are sailing from Vancouver. Bags went from hotel room to stateroom!!! We were on the Oosterdam last October and November in the Mediterranean and many of the employees were on this cruise so it was like home! They remembered ...

Exploring the SouthPacific from Vancouver/Canada to Auckland aboard the Noordam

My wife and I spent 42 days aboard the Noordam, a medium size cruiseship of Holland America Line for about 2000 passengers from Sept. 24 to Nov. 6, 2017. This was just trhe right time for us with pleasant temperatures throughout our cruise. Moderate autumn weather along the Canadian und US West Coast and the first sea days on our way to the Hawaiian islands, getting warmer and more sunny by the ...

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Choose this cruise to return to Hawaii after 33 years. We are from the east coast, so we thought it would be a good way to get accustomed to the time change to Hawaii (it was). With five plus sea days to start out, it was relaxing, but everyone was getting a bit stir crazy. Since it was late in the season for Vancouver, the first few days were cloudy and cool. The remaining sea days were sunny and ...

We really enjoyed this cruise. Be ready for smaller portions than the usual American size that I have come to know. There is plenty of more portions, all you have to do is ask. The buffet was not portions, so make your picture. I did not like the 5 specialty restaurants. We did eat at the Asian Silk Harvest one time. They advertised king crab legs. They should have said ONE king crab leg. ...

This was our first time cruising with Celebrity and first time in Hawaii! Overall we really loved the cruise! We had five days at sea and loved the relaxing, slow paced days! We could be as busy or as not busy as we wanted... it was wonderful! We loved exploring Hawaii and we thought doing that via a cruise was awesome! It was nice being able to spend at least a day or two in each place and take ...

We have wanted to do a Hawaiian. Getting on the ship in Vancouver was nice and easy. We sailed on time and always arrived to our port early. The ship itself is in need for refurbishment right away. It seems like it's overdue for one for about 2/3 years ago. The ship is unique and has its own beauty. I did live all the granite and marble just not all the vases or whatever they are supposed to be. ...

Been on the legend several times. Went to Hawaii from Vancouver. Was not impressed with all the walking to get on the ship. The ship it self is very easy to get around. The food could have been better but it wasn't bad. The cruise director is good she is very entertaining and the shows weren't bad either. There was a girl at customer service desk I think her name was Katherina, she only got on ...

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Radiance of the Seas

User Avatar

We liked the size of the ship and have been on Brilliance and Vision before. The Radiance however looks very tired, from the Windjammer, to the dining rooms, the decor, the chipped and stained furniture, Wardrobe doors wouldn't close, pool towels that should be turned into rags etc. On the positive side: food was ok, staff friendly and helpful and the itinerary great. We embarked very early ...
