We have wanted to do a Hawaiian. Getting on the ship in Vancouver was nice and easy. We sailed on time and always arrived to our port early. The ship itself is in need for refurbishment right away. It seems like it's overdue for one for about 2/3 years ago. The ship is unique and has its own beauty. I did live all the granite and marble just not all the vases or whatever they are supposed to be. Our balcony room was nice and our room steward Roger was very attentive. We went to dine at the main restaurant and went on our time with a table just for us two. Our server Ni Wayan was good. Hostess Rosetilla was always a pleasure to talk with. The few times we ate the the buffet it was okay. The food in the main restaurant was also okay. Really enjoyed one dinner the most of the grilled chicken. Pool area and other public area was kept nice and clean but also in need of new life. Did really enjoy doing the Green Thunder slide. Adult Serenity area was always packed and busy. Gym area was adequate and did love doing the steam and sauna room. It should have been cleaner but it seems like once again it needs a refurbishment. The casino bar staff were excellent. Shelon and Evan always had a nice welcoming smile. The shops had your normal cruise stuff. The dancers and singers sorry to say was one of the worst ones I have ever seen. They were just not good and it was also what seemed low budget. The ports were your normal Hawaiian ports and we did our excursions on out own. Did really enjoy the carnival journeys experience over all. They really went out with bringing the local Hawaiian culture on board. They outdid themselves at the midnight gala.
