Food on this cruise was abysmal

We have cruised on Cunard, Carnival and Celebrity prior to this cruise. It was a very mixed bag and some things we liked better but on the whole it was not anywhere near as good as Celebrity or Cunard. Pro's The wardrobe space was very good, lots and lots of room for everything and many hangers. The TV was large and great viewing The staff overall were very friendly and helpful, ...

Great destinations but the staff need to get their act together

We chose a Princess cruise because we had taken another Princess cruise previously and loved it. (Pacific Eden) We found that lots of little mistakes add up to some disappointment. I am not going to go into the mistakes but even though not large they are things that should not happen. Staff tend to pass the buck so in the end this looks very unprofessional. Also I think a lot has to do with ...

Great cruise to celebrate golden anniversary

We travel with Princess frequently and picked this cruise because we could celebrate our golden wedding anniversary during the cruise. The itinerary was similar to the cruise we took 10 years ago, with a few different stops. We did the traditional dining and had a wonderful time with the 3 other couples at our table. The ship was in great shape and we had upgraded to a full suite which was ...

The ship is not one of their newer ships but I would still sail on it again. Bedding was very comfortable. The food and service was very good and could be compared to any very good restaurant in NYC. Entertainment was exceptional and always tied in with the city we visited. Loved the idea that they had two sides to the decks outside. One side showed movies and movies under the stars at night ...

My husband and I sailed on the Crown Princess from August 4 - 11. We've had five cruises on RCI and HAL but this was our first time on a Princess cruise. We've loved all five of our previous cruises but we won't be doing another Princess cruise. I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: -the beds and bedding were super comfy -the International Cafe had good salads and the pastries in the morning ...

First trip to Europe

We were on the 7 day cruise from Barcelona, Spain to Rome Italy. We were traveling with our adult children, ages 20 and 22. It was a beautiful trip. We have never traveled with Princess before. It was very average, nothing over the top. I have definitely been on better cruises. The food was not the best. I have had food on other cruises where I couldn't wait for dinner or wanted all on ...

A new once in a lifetime at every turn!

We picked the Mediterranean as a destination for the history and the variety. Our kids (19 and 17) love Roman and Greek history and mythology. This was a great way for our family to have a trip before both kids head off to college in the fall. We went with my sister-in-law and a family friend (making our party 6 in total). We boarded in Barcelona for a two week cruise to Rome and Athens. We ...

We'd never sailed with Princess before but we chose this cruise because of the itinerary - we started in Barcelona, went to Gibraltar and ended in Rome...the places we wanted to go, with Marseille, Genoa and Livorno thrown in as bonus ports. On the day we embarked, we spent the day sightseeing in Barcelona and arrived at the port at 5pm, to walk thru check-in and we were in our lovely cabin within ...

The Crown Princess is a beautiful ship. The food was excellent, the bed was comfortable and, to the most part, the physical aspects of the cruise ship were fine. The excursions were okay, acceptable but not truly exceptional. The entertainment was average. I didn't go to many shows but members of my party did. They were mostly underwhelmed. What was unacceptable was the extremely poor customer ...

Not as good as Carnival, for a higher price!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Crown Princess

I chose this cruise because of its itinerary. I generally enjoyed the ports, with the exception of Marseilles where I paid $64.95 for a hop-on-hop-off tour that I could have booked directly for about $22.00. When I attempted to go online and provide reviews of my excursions, I found that Princess does not allow guests this option. Why not allow past passengers to provide feedback for the use of ...
