We chose this, our first Oceania cruise, because we wanted the itinerary, the smaller ship, and the advertised educational talks. The advertised 'best food on the ocean' was a perk, but was not necessary for us. This is what happened:
Oceania didn’t provide nearly enough excursions. A whole busload of us, through our Roll Call, finally booked excursions with the only company we could get 3 ...
In my opinion: Avoid this cruise and Oceania for the following reasons: 1) horrible crowd management - 2 hour lines shoulder to shoulder for onboard immigration process; 2) bad excursion experience overall - booked, some bad guides, insufficient coverage of areas, problem with availability, 3) some excellent and some very rude and inexperienced staff. In my opinion there are much better ...
This was not our first cruise with Oceania and after a fantastic experience in Tahiti, we couldn't wait to go back. This experience however, was quite different.
Our stateroom (A4), public spaces, etc., were lovely and comfortable, and the specialty restaurants were very good. The buffet and the Grand Dining Room however, went downhill compared to the previous cruise,
Where Oceania let us ...
In total, we have cruised @. 40 times to most corners of the world.
This was our second time with Oceania..... and our last.
We booked directly and our only contact was with the cruise consultant who took the booking. Any questions, and there were several regarding air, guest services etc were directed to him, but he could only pass the questions up the chain.
We paid the fee ( higher ...
Found two worlds on this cruise amazing staff Great rooms and wonderful decor Food was excellent although i kind of expected more based on the marketing Cabin room attendants were great and attentive Most waiters were punctual and polite Overall entry level staff was good

I chose the 20 night trip from Mumbai to Singapore, especially looking forward to revisiting the Maldives, and generally having tours which gave experiences out of the norm. I particularly wanted to treat myself to some top-notch cuisine. Oh dear, what a mistake.
There were good points. The cabin was usual size, clean, comfortable. Storage fine for one person, but inadequate for two. BUT ...
The food was far below our previous experiences as far as the choice of the menus, the quality of the prepared food and the description/naming of the dishes, such as using names that didn't reflect the expected dish with the corresponding name. the buffet also could use some improvement as the products were not as fresh as expected.
Also, some products such as bananas or plain oil(for ...
My partner and I chose this cruise based on Oceania's tag line "Best cuisine in the sea", or words to that effect.
Twenty days on the ship and it was downhill from day two. The problem was the food. It was not just us, but practically every other passenger we spoke to,
We have cruised on other lines, Cunard, Celebrity, Holland America, Windstar and have never been disappointed with the ...
Nautica is a beautiful little ship. The crew were wonderful. Unfortunately this didn’t make up for a number of other issues relating to this supposedly upmarket company.
1. The itinerary change was so drastic it didn’t resemble what we booked in any way. Other ships still visited Egypt, Oman and Salalah and these ports were cancelled on our trip. The day we were meant to visit Athens was windy ...
This was our first time on an Oceania ship. Friends had said they were very good and considered a "higher level" cruise line. Was really looking forward to the trip. We did a 14 day portion of the 77 day trip from LA to Sydney.
The hotels chosen by Oceania for before and after cruise stay in Tokyo and HK were wonderful. However there was a confusion re bus number on embarkation day to take us ...
