This cruise is the top of the line when it comes to service= 5star for sure. I liked the emphasis on serving its customer as opposed to pushing their products. Wow what a relief. Made the cruise much more pleasureable. These folks are super friendly and really go out of their way to suit your needs. These folks genuinely care. Family experience!
Entertainment was stellar. Laughed my butt off at ...
This was our 2nd cruise on the Sun following an 11 nighter April 2014. Again a great crew, several of which we've gotten to know a bit with so many on board encounters, do to the fact that the officers and others are always around the ship including the Capt, hotel mgr Brian and CD Richard Matic. Food was as expected, not fine dining, as we only ate in the MDR , buffet, Great Outdoors and Sports ...
One of the best cruises ever, and believe me, I've been on most of the mega ships and this is up for competition. Honestly, I've read some negative reviews online, and I have no idea what they are talking about. The dining options are great. We would eat at 3 different restaurants a night and not get tired of any of them. All of our waiters were really nice and fast (took nine minutes average for ...
This is our 2nd time on NCL, however it had been 25 yrs since our honeymoon cruise with NCL. Let me start by saying this ship is a little older and smaller than others but just perfect as far as I am concerned. It is well kept very clean, plenty to do and big enough you never really figure out consistently how to get from point A to point B.LOL
The free style dining makes it very relaxing. The ...
My husband and I chose this ship and itinerary as our first foray into warm weather cruising. This was only our second cruise. Our first was with Princess (Alaska cruise tour). We felt the ship was the right size for what we wanted.
Our cabin steward was Sam and he was a delight. Always cheerful and eager to please. He greeted us by name each time we saw him. These people work very hard and ...
This was our 4th cruise, our first on NCL. Although it was a smaller ship then we were used to, we found it quite nice. We departed from Tampa, our past cruises departed from Miami. Not much to see at the Tampa port, but the embarkation process was fast and smooth. We arrived at 10:30am and we were second in line to check-in. Then we waited about 30 minutes before we were allowed to board. ...
This was my 7th cruise and we only had a couple of problems that need to be addressed. #1 the manager of the Internet was not Customer Service friendly, he was very short when my sister asked questions about the internet being so slow. He never smiled and seemed not happy with his position. We have never had someone from the staff be so unfriendly. #2 we had two water leaks in our room which NCL ...
Enjoyed our cruise on the Sun. Embarkation was very smooth. Ship appeared to be in fine overall condition. Loved the size as it was easy to navigate. Had a Deck 10 balcony (0006). The room was very nice and in a good location. Cabin steward(ess?) Daryl was extremely attentive. Ate breakfast and lunch at the buffets, always sitting at the Great Outdoors. Dinners in the main dining rooms. Thought ...
February 22 – March 1
Tampa – Western Caribbean
Cabin: 9040
Have cruised on several mid to small size ships on several lines. Liked this size ship for getting from one end to the other but found many dead end areas and I never totally felt oriented for some reason.
CABIN: Typical balcony cabin that definitely was larger than the same category cabin that we had on the Dawn. Slightly more width. ...
Roatan and Cozumel are 'standard cruise stops'. Our interest was in Belize City and Costa Maya. Walking the town of Belize City allows for a great experience of the friendly locals - "good morning" was said and heard every few steps. The Museum there is quite interesting, and not well known to the cruise or excursion staff - $5 was a good entry price to get an interesting visit to this former jail ...
