Positives: Staff was very cordial, until the last day when some seemed to be in a bad mood. Maybe they were going to miss us?
Drink plan was a good value.
Internet, while expensive, worked.
Cereal in individuals serving size boxes was a big plus.
Bed was super-comfortable

Let me start my review by stating that I love cruising. My cruise line of preference is NCL. I have been on 14 cruises, 7 of which have been on NCL. This was my 1st trip on the Spirit. What a disappointment. The ship is old, the oldest of the fleet and it shows.

Port Canaveral is great for embarking on what should be a wonderful cruising week! The NCL Spirit is an adequate vessel, although it could use many updates and refurbishings. The specialty restaurants are very good, but not quite up to par with some of the newer ships. Food at the buffet was adequate, but almost always cold. Seating was no problem.

There was a huge difference on this cruise on the Spirit and the last one we did on it and it wasn't good. The staff remains the greatest and I have absolutely no problems with any of them but the ship has really gone downhill since our first cruise on it. No more chocolate nights, no more lobster nights and the casino is so smoke filled that we avoided it.
