We had been on this cruise before and it was great, but this time the experience was awful. We had an injury and they treated us like criminals and followed us around getting multiple statements. They lost signed documents and have to have it resigned. The basketball court was blistering hot and caused burns on the bottom of feet. The shower backed up with sewer. The food was horrible. The itinerary was changed but they waited until everyone was on the boat before they let anyone know. There were multiple staff that were very unpleasant and acted as if we were hindering them to ask for help. The guest services were very rude.We have loved Norwegian in the past, but this time it was a terrible experience. I have been on 15 plus cruises and this one was the absolute worst experience that we have ever had. I will think again before we give Norwegian another try. Read Less

Boarding the Norwegian Sky felt like I was visiting a prison. Everyone was very serious and not friendly. It took away the excitement you feel when going on vacation. Hospitality and customer service is what vacation hosting is all about. Norwegian fell very flat in this arena. The food could not be worse. This was my first Norwegian cruise and I will sail Carnival any day over going back to Norwegian. The food seemed old and reheated. Very poor quality. Specialty dining was over priced and terrible at Cagney's. Le Bistro was the only exception. The food was EXCELLENT and the staff was beyond AMAZING. Although the Norwegian Sky is extremely old and dated, the ship was fairly clean, which is important to us. However, the cabin was so small. Our toilet overflowed and wet our carpet. Our room steward got us a carpet blower and cleaned it all up. But we felt someone could have come and apologized about the whole ordeal and perhaps offered to move us to another room, as the smell was terrible for our last night. I do not recommend this cruise line or this ship. Happy cruising to all on another cruise line!! Read Less

Room was dirty, food was horrible. Stay away from Royal Caribbean, try others, their absolutely horrible. Called customer service, alerted them of our concerns, and only was offered $115 discount on a future cruise with them, I respectfully declined after spending almost $2000 on a 4 day cruise and coming home extremely dissatisfied. Room was dirty upon entering. Our dinner reservation was double booked and we had to wait for another table, what’s the point of a reservation? The whole time they constantly are trying to sell you more stuff on the cruise, it’s like Royal Caribbean just wants to dig in your pocket the whole time your on vacation. Not one thing on the boat tasted fresh, every single thing tasted like it was precooked and warmed up and served. We have been on cheaper cruises and received way better service and food than Royal Caribbean. Never ever again! Read Less

My wife and I chose this ship, because we love the Oasis class. Unfortunately they didn't raise the bar. The cabin was great. They made the balcony bigger, but at the expense of the tub. I am just under 6 feet tall, and they mad the tub so narrow I couldn't stand in it without my feet being curved. It actually hurt to take a shower. The final day I had to stand with my feet together to take a shower. Also, the partial glass screen on the tub, is not attached. I almost did a header and fell out of the tub the fist time trying to get comfortable. Be careful . The public restroom was another miss, with a tall , small urinal. Again I am just under 6 feet tall, and I had to stand on my tiptoes to use the urinal. What were they thinking. Lets make a urinal that only 6 foot 6' people or taller can use. There were many puddles on the floor, and that's all I'll say. Then there was the food. Is it me, or is RCL buying cheaper and cheaper food? The food was terrible. I took a chance and tried a specialty restaurant, when the Coastal Kitchen had absolutely nothing on the Menu that night that my wife or I could stand. I paid extra to stay in the Junior Suite so I could eat there, and it was disappointing . I have had nothing but bad luck trying RCL's specialty restaurants. Trust me, there's nothing Special about them. My last cruise was on the Independence of the seas, and my wife and I tried the Specialty restaurant plan. What a waste of money. 2-3 hour waits. Rude service. The couple next to me complained, and was berated by the waiter. Awful food. We tried to cancel after the 3rd try, but was told we couldn't get a refund. We didn't care and lost the rest of our money. On the Symphony I tried Hooked. It was terrible. The service was fast and friendly, but I just couldn't stomach it. They started me off with this cheese biscuit. It was old, hard and had no taste. Then I was brought a crab and clam chowder. I was half way done, when I bit into something that sounded like either a shell or glass. I tried another bite with the same result, but found what I hoped was a shell. I stopped eating it. Then they brought me my shrimp cocktail, and it smelled funny almost like bleach. That was enough. I stopped and called over the waitress and told her I couldn't eat here and wanted a refund. I was then made to repeat everything 2 more times and grilled by the chef, but got the refund. The food is getting worse every year on RCL. So much so, That I am not going on another RCL cruise. Even the trusted pizza at Sorrento's was bad.I am now going on their sister company Celebrity , because the food is supposed to be a lot better , and they have a NON-SMOKING CASINO!!!. You can smell the smoke within 20 feet of the casino entrance. It's really bad, and they have a new drink policy that's horrible. If you earn 2400 points in a year you get free drinks in the casino. Now you can only get 1 drink every 10 minutes. Also the one staff complaint was that this was the only RCL cruise I've been on, where the bartenders were rude. The bar was open a few minutes before the casino and they were serving drinks. I went to the counter and asked for a drink, and they berated me, and told me I had to wait for the casino to open. When the casino opened, I went up to the counter again to ask for a drink, and the Bartender snapped at me that I had to wait until the casino was open. I pointed out to him that it was, He didn't believe me. I then pointed to people , right in front of us playing the slots, and all he said was "Oh'. then got my drink. Also I was ignored a lot by the Bartenders because I was Prime (Free Drinks), and I didn't have to pay for my drinks, and I guess there would rather wait on paying customers. I was ignored several times a day. It was really frustrating . It's like the new policy was invented to prevent you from wanting to get a drink. Well it worked. I usually lose a lot of money in the casino to get the points for the free drinks, and this is there new way of saying thanks? They really should have someone that is/was a guest to check out their designs, new policies and food before implementing them on new ships, that way they could avoid all these mistakes . RCL , Please upgrade the food. It's really bad when Kraft Mac & Cheese is 10X better than yours. On the good note, was the service. As usual the service was excellent. I have no complaints at all, except the Bartenders in the Casino. My room steward did a fantastic job, as so did the wait staff in the restaurants. I thought the Independence of the Seas was my least favorite ship, but Symphony comes very close. Hopefully they will see this, and improve everything, but i doubt it. Read Less

Cruise was shorted due to hurricane Dorian. Told a day at sea but was docked in miami, herd like cattle in customs, held for hours while they hunted down 5 guests on board. Left on the boat all day and wasnt told we could roam miami until 5:50 that afternoon when you had to be back on the ship at 7. The buffets were same food daily, only thing I can rave about is cagneys steakhouse. Norweigian offered only 20% refund on VOYAGE. Mind you a 3500 cruise we were offered 333.52 after being told by staff they took us back to port so they could get.ready for their next cruise. We watched from boat as they loaded and stocked their cruise ship all day while we were bored with nothing to do but walk the boat, eat or sleep. At port so everything for entertainment was closed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Worst cruise ever. Food was inedible and uninspired (mashed potatoes, green beans, etc) , entertainment very poor (although Comedian Landry was to be fair OK) and ship old and very dated with horrible damp mildew smell throughout our floor and in our room. But worst is that we had in our room and came back with bedbugs. I have been an NCL cruiser since 1999 but profoundly disappointed in this ship and it has soured me on the idea of sailing with NCL in the future despite being a latitudes member. They should have scuttled this ship last year rather than refurbishing it, a refurbishment which still leaves the ship very unattractive with dark common areas, and rooms were certainly not refurbished. Its hard to believe NCL owns both this disaster and Breakaway on which I have had a good experience. But after this cruise I may never sail NCL again, despite having a large amount of cash credit with them after an itinerary change beyond their control (cuba was cancelled due to change in foreign policy and ship diverted to bahamas) Read Less

This was my first and last time on Norwegian. I have been on several cruises and Norwegian Sky was the WORST. I wish when the itinerary changed that I cancelled. There was no real entertainment on the entire cruise ship, the food was the same every single day for lunch (lunch buffet only had three items besides hamburgers, hotdogs, sausage, and partially cooked chicken) and for sit down dinner you waited at least 40 minutes to get served cold food. Most of the staff was nice except for the sit down hostess (always had an attitude). There was only one small pool for thousands of people. The wait to get off the boat was just dysfunctional. Please don't use their transportation because they had us standing in the HOT SUN for over an hour waiting for a bus (only one bus taking hundreds of passengers to the airport) and then people that was not waiting in line got on the bus and some people had to wait for an additional hour. Guest Services had no clue and when you reported an issue no one came for hours. Air did not work in room, TV did not work, toilet did not work, sink did not work correctly, and it took constant complaining for changes to happen. I can't think of anything positive except the open bar. One piece of advice - DON'T DO IT............... YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED........ Read Less

I went on MSC Seaside thought I would give it a try. The ship is huge and a good ship for family's however, the pool areas did not have any towels. The cabin was fair and as expected the attendant Juan Tan was the best person on the trip. The dinning experience was terrible, if your going to offer juices, coffee, and water have someone going around and offer it to them. They barley had any cookies sometimes i just needed one and couldn't get it. The fridge or mini bar was locked couldn't put anything in it. They pushed there drink packages upon you, however they don't tell you that its per day or per person, the internet was way to expensive 43 bucks per day not for hour or whatever and they didn't even have any printers god forbid if i had to print anything. I never tried any of the entertainment or activities. The service was horrible they all speak different languages and you can't understand them. I had a hard time even putting a credit card on room because the company is from Paris and the cards say fraud even though you told the credit card company ahead of time. The port of calls, well first one was cancelled and they should of replaced it with another but instead out of a 7 day cruise 4 of them were spent at sea boring. I would never recommend this ship to anyone its way to expensive to do anything. Read Less

This was my second cruise, first being with just my son (10 months at the time), and I. This second cruise was with our whole family. It was by far the worst family vacation we've ever had. Never again will we use carnival. They screwed up all our room assignments (they gave me a $300 on board credit that got immediately eaten up by gratuities), staff is beyond rude, no one cares if you are having a issue unless you inform them you are having issues with locating your autistic son due to the incompetent staff shuffling my kids to the wrong zone for the drill. My son was suppose to be excused from the drill due to his medical issues but nooooooooo the steward staff made my son, daughter, and grandmother leave their room. By the time I reached my son he was a minute away from passing out. He has heat triggered seizures. The guest service manager tried to prevent me from getting my son out of the drill area. I had to yell at her he needed to leave. When she came to find me to try to I guess tell me about myself she realized the situation was actually serious she then changed her stank attitude and tried to kiss butt. Same with the dinning room staff in the Atlantic dinning room. The hostess was so rude and the head manager as well but of course when I said to my fiance that situation was just one more thing to add to our email to corporate he changed his attitude. It seems in order for the crew to be nice you have to inform them you are contacting corporate. I could honestly go on and on about how horrible the crew was but Ill save myself from getting frustrated again. As far as food.... It was gross. Eggs are super runny, bacon is dang near raw, pancakes taste like crap, syrup is watered down, even the main dinning room dinner is just bad. The only thing i enjoyed was the crab legs and I had to pay $25 for it. No matter if it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner its crap. We did the cat in the hat breakfast and although my kids enjoyed meeting the characters the food was basic. Now the port.... We stopped in Nassau bahamas and man oh man that port was NASTY. As soon as we got off the ship we were disgusted by how dirty the port was. And then when we got past the tourist information gate we were swarmed by ppl trying to push services or merch on us. That was annoying but i get it. What got me really annoyed was numerous guys came up to us (my kids too) asking if we needed weed or "blow" (im assuming thats cocaine). Like they have no care in the world there are little kids there. A lot of shops try to play you aswell and take your money claiming they have no change. Thank god I read and did my research before we got there and knew not to buy anything at the port and to walk a few blocks down to get everything cheaper. the straw market was interesting.... VERY hot so that was interesting to see how all these vendors just deal with the heat. Getting on and off the boat was pretty easy but we did get off 2 hours after we ported and got back on a way before everyone else. Now the debarking wasn't too bad. I didnt wait for our deck number bc frankly my son was just tired of waiting and starting to get a big sensory overload. They didnt give me issues about leaving before our deck was called. Aside from all the issues with food, staff, ect, the boat it self was overly crowded, our room didnt even get turned one day, there was a lot of rust around the boat, there isnt much to do either. Even with the little they had to do it was so packed it wasnt worth waiting for the activities. We also had a party crew in the room across from us and holy crap they were loud. The screaming and laughing lasted up until around 3am and started right back up at 8am. It was very annoying. Security even came up a few times bc i guess other guest complained but those ppl could care less and the moment security was gone they started yelling again. Oh and lets not forget about on both decks 6 and 7 (I had two rooms) the hallways reeked of marijuana. Def not something I want my kids to be smelling. Oh and let me not forget to mention how the communication between the 800 number, the crew on the boat from the different departments and management has HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. No one knows anything and none of the requested accommodations I requested for my autistic child and my other child with server food allergies were granted So if asked if i would ever use carnival again.... my answer would be "HECK NO"! This will have been the first and the last time I ever give them a shot. Read Less

This was my first cruise and I was not impressed with this one. Let me start with the only positive. Ease of getting on board was fairly simple. The ship is extremely old and outdated. We had an ocean view room with rusted windows, bathroom reeked of urine throughout our stay and the shower never drained properly. The staff was borderline rude and they weren't the friendliest. Once we got the key to the room they had a meeting that took place at the muester stations. The staff member literally knocked on our door once and before I could answer they used a key to burst into the room which was very disrespectful and wrong. What if I had been naked or my children? No one spoke clear English and forget asking a staff member where something was. They seemed to never could explain or give proper directions which was frustrating as the ship was very big. The food was hit or miss. The only good food was at dinner time but it was never hot. The servers at dinner were the friendliest throughout the entire ship. The food served daily was ok but there were times where some were closed and hundreds of people on the ship would be left standing in long lines for food at breakfast and lunch time. Watch out for the charges to your account! There were so many people that complained about extra gratuities and the guest services lines were always long. Forget trying to call guest services from your room it was always busy or they simply never answered. The bathrooms for use throughout the ship were always dirty and gross. Feces left in toilets, tissue everywhere and urine on the floors and the staff never seemed to care. They would clean all around the ship but would not clean the bathrooms as often as they should have been. The pools seemed rusty and the water always looked dirty. It was literally thousands of people aboard the ship so you would think they would keep everything stocked but their were times when the ice cream machines weren't working, cones weren't stocked and the lemonade that they offered was not filled on some machines. You literally get what you pay for! Pay more for an updated ship! I would never recommend this ship to anyone and I will probably never do carnival again. Read Less

Treat you like they're the ones on vacation and you're getting on their nerves just to answer a question. ESPECIALLY customer service! Drinks were flowing and pretty good. However they don't tell you that after you purchase the drink package to include tax you still have to pay an extra tax per drink while you're still in Florida waters...what a scam! The food was decent, especially the burger and taco stand. Don't even think about eating at the buffet unless you want to spend an hour in line. Ridiculous! Our dining room waiter, Darryl was excellent and very accommodating... 5 stars for him! Food was decent, cant really complain about that. The Music was good. But not enough shows onboard. We cruised, not impressed. 17 family members total. Two parents, four (42-36yr old siblings), eleven (1-17r) of those offspring. I’m not and will never be impressed with the noise levels at night in the rooms. Disco night was the first night and we could clearly hear all words to the music played, it played well past 11:30 pm. We asked to please lower the volume multiple times, with no success. At the pools we could not all swim together. That was big time dissipointing. We wanted to take pictures of the whole family after early dinner was told our family was too large. On day three it was super hot and the only place my daughter could cool off was under the pool shower. The only for her to play was under with water was “closed due to maintenance”. I would not suggest this ship to any family or large group that like to sleep at night or swim together. I would like to give the best postive of the the experience and that was the early dinner. It was best part of the whole thing, although the family had to sit at seperate tables. The food was great and waiters entertained the our younger guest with magic tricks. Read Less

I chose a cruise on Norwegian Sky from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas and Great Stirrup Cay. This was my second cruise on Norwegian - being thus, I was offered priority check in, which never happened, and was supposed to receive a bottle of wine in my stateroom, which never happened. They told me once I was in my stateroom and checked in that they only offered a bottle of wine for 4 or more day cruises. And I never got an answer as to why I didn't get priority check-in even though it was offered when I booked the cruise. Why don't they share that information PRIOR to checkin when I booked my cruise? Here are my thoughts about this lackluster cruise line and this very mediocre cruise: 1. Watered-down alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Poor carbonation in all soft drinks. 2. Juice in buffet has sugar substitute in it - would have been lovely if they let consumers know somewhere on the machine. 3. Broken outlet falling out of the wall in the stateroom bathroom. 4. No soap in stateroom bathroom and watered-down shampoo and body wash in shower. 5. Noise level was appauling in staterooms. Never a moment of peace and quiet, and guests next door partying as if they were the last human beings on earth. 6. Great Stirrup Cay - Norwegian's private island - you have to bring your own towels from the ship, the island is dirty, incredibly high priced shore excursions that are not worth the money. If you lose one of your 2 towels, Norwegian bills you $25. This is an outrage. 7. Nassau, Bahamas - similarly, incredibly high priced shore excursions that are not worth it. Be careful to check your bag after purchasing anything at the Straw Market. I purchased a bracelet at one of the stalls, and the saleswoman never put it in my bag even though I paid for it. Taxi cabs will rip off any tourist - just be prepared to be financially raped in the Bahamas. 8. Good luck eating at the Great Outdoors buffet and not having your uneaten food taken off the table the moment you get up to grab a drink for your dinner. Staff in the buffet are disturbingly excited to clean off the tables the moment a guest gets up. If you think you will return to your table with your food there, dream on. It is quite amazing that the staff on the ship were not helpful or communicative about how to disembark for shore excursions or to leave the ship at the end of the cruise, yet they are curiously excited to destroy your peaceful dinner by clearing the table BEFORE YOU HAVE EVEN STARTED TO EAT YOUR DINNER. 9. Palace dining room is one of the worst places I have ever dined. Food is bland, wine is unimpressive, wait staff are not attentive - unlike those crazy staff cleaning off the tables in the buffet. 10. Art auction was a joke. They give you 3 post-it notes with your number to put on any painting you would like to bid on. All of the paintings I was interested in were not put into their auction, even though there were no more than 15 people at the auction. The auctioneer chooses which ones HE wanted to try to sell - all lackluster artists, very unimpressive. Read Less

the worst company to deal with. They don't deliver what was promised when the reservation was made, you step on the ship, look at your cabin, and feel very disappointed. so, you walk to the customer service to find a loooooooong line of disappointed customers, stand there for a couple of hours and never get anything resolved. Then you on board for few days continue with measurable experience. I would not recommend Royal for travelers, why would you want to pay your money and spend your vacation time with this company if there are others that offer better experience? They promise staff for kids, for instance the virtual reality trampoline. My kids were so excited to experience it, guess what: it was NOT OPEN the all time we were there. Kids were disappointed. There were no shows for kids, NONE. They have 2 ice cream machines, one of them was broken, and always line to get ice cream, that was served melty. They had one slide for kids, and line always was long to get on it. The all trip was a complete disappointment to all of us. They advertise the new renovations they've done to the ship, I wonder what was it before? OH, ONE MORE THING THE FITNESS CENTER DIDN'T OPEN TILL 9 OCLOCK!!!!!!! SO STUPID, REALLY. This was not my first cruise, but it was my first cruise on NCL. It will also be my last. I will start with what was good about the cruise. The breakfast and dinner was very good. We did not eat in the buffet. We ate breakfast at Savor or Taste each morning and for dinner ate there as well or at the Tropicana. Lunch in the buffet was gross. Our room was also a good size. We were in a mid ship balcony. I can not speak for the other rooms. Now for what was disappointing, the organization, entertainment, and communication was atrocious. Organization: If you never traveled on NCL you wouldn’t know you had to make reservations for everything including dinner and entertainment. When we arrived we did not know that and when we found out everything was already booked. However, we would show up to shows and they would be empty. The whole reservation thing just makes first time travelers not think they can participate in shows. They would do nightly activity in the Atrium will no room for anyone to sit and watch. The time management on the ship was so off. Things that were scheduled on the daily sheet would just not happen. We went to a class at the gym and no instructor showed up to teach it. We would go to do trivia and it would have already started, even though we were on time. We ordered room service for the morning. On the sheet they give you times to have it delivered we put between 7:30 and 8:00 it showed up at 6:45 and woke us up. The last day we put it for 7:00-7:30 and it just never showed up, and no one answered when we called. The worst organization was at Great Stirrup Cay, we arrived and they never made an announcement for tenders to depart. We happened to walk downstairs and see the crew putting people in line based on the tender number. We were tender group 1. They out on line then brought us into the theater where we waited over an hour to leave. While we waited they told us we had to be back by 4:30 even though the schedule said 5:30 and when I asked why it changed they said they had to get everyone back on time. So in the end they were 2 hours late to get us to the island and then made it seem like we had to be back an hour early. The last tender back was 6:15. When we were on the island they ran out of food and closed the bars early. Communication: Just like the issues at Great Stirrup Cay when not one announcement was made they did not make an announcement for departing Nassau. Everything was figure it out for yourselves. This came to leaving the ship on the last morning. I walked downstairs when I saw we had been at port early. It was 7:15 when I asked the crew what time we would be able to leave and they told us no earlier than 8:00. I went back to my room and not five minutes later did I hear someone scream, “freedom” outside our balcony (someone screaming freedom when they leave vacation should say it all about NCL). I looked and saw people leaving the ship. Again no announcement was made. This was the theme of the week. We had no clue one night was a dress in white night and another being a formal night. Seemed like only people who had the app and paid for the Wifi were informed about this information. Entertainment: The entertainment on the ship was lacking for a better word. They did one activity by the pool a day. Otherwise it was a DJ playing very boring music. When they did the activities by the pool, people were so into. We never saw the “entertainment team” by the pool during the say. They were doing indoor activities. When it is 80 degrees and sunny, I do not want to be inside. The dueling piano bar was not dueling pianos but just two people taking turns playing songs that were requested. Not once did they duel. The nightly adult activity was right in the middle of dinner time and was done in a packed atrium. When someone asked why they didn’t do more they said they had too many people and didn’t have the room for activities. Also a theme of the cruise. They could not accommodate the amount of people on board. All in all it was just a poorly done cruise. The worker seemed overworked and understaffed. They told us multiple times this was the last trip for the destinations and you could tell they were over being on the ship. We were late to leave, late to get to Florida, and late to leave for Great Stirrup Cay. The sheets never fit on our bed and I would wake up sleeping on the mattress with no sheet. NCL should be ashamed of the cruise they put people on. They need to work on the communication and organization. All we heard well week was people complaining about the lack of chairs to sit at (if you didn’t up at 7:00 am you didn’t get a chair in the sun by the pool), the lack of reservations available, and just the overall quality of the trip. NCL is not worth the price of the cruise. I could go on, but this is already very long. Read Less

We booked this cruise with extended family. First stop was CocoaCay. All the on ship advertising and email that we received mislead us to believe that the water park and resort style pool was open. The staff on the ship agreed with me that our kids will have a wonderful time on the waterslides at CocoaCay. When we got there, it is still under construction. Really disappointed the kids. We booked two rooms (ocean view with balcony) they were okay, but have a stale, musty smell. Bathroom really need to be updated. Shower had cracks, etc. They clearly spent the lion's share of their renovation money on the common areas of the boat not in the cabins. Service was good, there were a few really attentive servers at dinner. However, the food at dinner was subpar. First night three of the four adults ordered Prime Rib and had to send it back as it was to tough to eat. Worst vacation ever...you should look at other cruise lines before booking on this one. This cruise was chosen because of all of the items on the ship for us to do with our kids. By the 3rd day, I woke up with three bites on my neck. The 4th day, I had numerous more. I went to their medical floor and expressed my fears that there may be bed bugs in my room. They reassured me they did not look like bed bug bites. I asked what it could be and he expressed they looked like German measles. I explained I'm vaccinated and have had my titers so this wasn't possible. I asked what I should do now? He handed me 2 Hydrocortisone packets and told me to continue my night. I was appalled! I'm a nurse and sending someone they think could have a very contagious disease to the rest of the public should be forbidden! I'm sure it's because they knew it was bed bug bites. They said they were sure they weren't bed bug bites but would have someone come check the room. Nobody came to my room. I called guest services and they sent someone up to tell me they would do a thorough check when we went for dinner. We got back from dinner to see the beds were remade and there was a white powder placed behind the bed. I had to call guest services to see what they found. The lady said the search was completely negative. I asked what the white powder was and she said she was sending the supervisor up. When he got there, he explained the white powder was protocol but the search came up 100% negative. He said there was even a bug specialist in our room and said no traces of bed bugs were found. I took these pictures after their thorough search of my room. Disgusting!!! Bugs in the mattress!!!! That was our last night there. After calling Royal Caribbean the day after we got back, they asked for me to submit the pictures. After reviewing the pictures, they apologized for this occurring on their ship and offered me a 10% discount on a future cruise purchase. I can't even explain the nightmare this has caused. All of our luggage is in garbage bags outside our house to prevent any chance of bringing them inside our home. This cruise turned into a nightmare. -Our dining was exceptional. There was a great variety of food choices. Our server was fabulous. -This cruise had 2 Bahamas stops, Nassau and CoCo Cay. Both were great. -We let our 2 boys choose our shore excursions. The first was the Rainbow Reef snorkel in Nassau. It was our boys (age 8 and 10) first time snorkeling. The staff were great and we loved it -In CoCo Cay, they chose two excursions, swimming with the pigs and the stingray experience. The staff made them memorable and we suggest both of them. -Upon docking, our last shore excursion was The Everglades by airboat. We loved it! -We had a fabulous view from our balcony. We had a balcony on the back of the ship with magnificent views -In all of our travels, we have never experienced bed bugs before. I don't wish it upon anyone. The way Royal Caribbean lied and pretended to search our room is unacceptable. Read Less

If we had known it was spring break we would’ve and could’ve chosen a different time to go. Maybe if the travel agent had mentioned spring break we could’ve chosen different. Being trapped on board with a bunch of drunken kids isn’t my idea of a relaxing vacation ! We couldn’t use many of the amenities that we also paid for, because they were being monapalized by the drunks! Cabins were adequate but the bed was not comfortable I got up every morning aching. Staff in restaurants and buffet were kind and courteous. The ship appeared to be well maintained. Guest Services left a lot to be desired they made us feel like criminals, and we’re very snooty. It was our first cruise and I’m in no hurry to repeat it! In your survey I had choose spring break cruise but I would not have chosen it had I known! Read Less

Our aunt planned a family birthday getaway that comprised of about 15 people and 7 cabins. Leading up to the trip the application and booking was seamless. However, the vacation was everything but seamless. I guess that because they had my money already. This was our first time sailing Royal Caribbean, but we cruise often on other cruise lines. Let me say Royal Caribbean spared no expenses when it comes to decor, features, and amenities. Please be advised though all of the features such as the escape room and wave runner are an extra charge. The boat also offers about 3 restaurants that are an extra charge. The food was absolutely terrible as well as the service and entertainment. The ship was supposed to stop in coco cay, but that didn't happen due to supposedly choppy waves so the ship couldn't tender people to the private island, which is currently under construct. When we went to customer service to Express our dissatisfaction they advised us to contact their customer sevice department, so for a 2 day cruise we were forced to have a sea day. About at 8 PM of the now sea day I'm still on my balcony wondering why the boat is so rocky and it seem like we were racing through the ocean. About 20 minutes later the captain comes over the pa and announces that we have to go back to Miami for an emergency stop to let someone off. Due to the speed and turbulence of the boat I became extremely sick. So much for a 2 day cruise, which I was in Miami for everyday single day of it.. The staff tried to accommodate guest with weak entertainment and extra activities, however that wasn't worth the money. For a first experience on Royal Caribbean I was truly dissatisfied. Upon returning home I called customer service as advise to Express my concerns for the vacation. I was hung up on 3 times by customer service representatives. The 3rd time I wouldn't even Express my issues and asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor was unhelpful and had terrible customer service skills. It was very frustrating for the boat staff to advise us to contact customer care then customer care give us the run around saying we should have addressed our concerns on the boat. No one took accountability! Needless to say I wouldn't advise Royal Caribbean. Read Less

My first cruise and my last. Didn’t help we didn’t even go to the Bahamas but we understood for safety reasons. Guest relations team didn’t help with WiFi issue once purchased. No reimbursement for WiFi we didn’t even use. Went to spa for a free pamper party but it was cancelled at the time we showed up. I injured myself on dance floor which was no ones fault but we called front desk to provide a ice pack and they didn’t come to our room until we called multiple times. Food was sub par. Long lines everywhere since we never left ship. My last cruise ever, horrible experience overall. We called to get a discount on another cruise since this one was so lousy and they said no a verbal apology is just fine?! Never take this cruise line. Wish I had a better experience. My cousin and I will never set sail again on this cruise Read Less

We are avid Disney Cruisers but thought a 2-night cruise would be great for my husband and I; it was not! After stepping foot on the ship, we noticed right away the smell of old smoke from the Casino area. If that wasn't bad enough, the fragrance they tried to mask it with make us nauseous. Deck 5 where ALL the shops and bars are was so hard to walk around, in the jewelry store, the associate followed us around like they do in furniture stores! We found that most of the crew members were not friendly or helpful. The waitstaff at the main dining room got upset that we didn't take their suggested choices at dinner time. Every where we went the first day, people were all trying to sell us something, drink package, internet package, specialty dining, etc. Our room was on Deck 9 and when we would turn to walk to our room all we could smell was sewage coming from the rooms. Our room had a musty smell to it as well. On Saturday night, we had to make a run back to Miami for a sick passenger to get off and all my husband and I wanted to do was get off with them! We will never again sail another cruise line but Disney. Read Less

This was a surprise trip for my husband and was a Christmas Gift. Our 15th wedding anniversary trip and VERY first cruise and trip without our child. Was supposed to be a romantic / rekindling vacation. Turned out to be a complete nightmare and worst trip we have ever been on. Really really long story short, our flight ended up getting canceled and neither parties were able to rebook us a flight to get to Miami before ship left. Flight got cancelled at 5am but still no one could accommodate us in time to get to Miami. Ridiculous! I called NCL 3 different times to ask what our options were. Option 1, cancel the cruise and only get back port fees and taxes, or option 2, which was pick up ship in Key West. Was told this by 3 different NCL employees. Fine. Spent 2 hours getting flights to Key West, $755 one way from Chicago. Fine. Called NCL back to let them know we'd be getting on the ship in Key West. Employee stated we couldn't get on in Key West. I lost my mind after I just got told by 3 NCL people that we could. She puts me on hold and comes back to say that we can get on in Key West. OK Fine. My husband and I were at the airport about 8 hours before we actually left. About 40 minutes AFTER I booked flights to Key West, the last NCL employee called me back with a manager to NOW tell me that I will incure port fines in Key West for $762pp per the JONES ACT!!!! Why was i never informed this EVER?! And the NCL employees should have ABSOLUTELY said something BEFORE I booked the flight to Key West. I felt totally deceived and taken advantage of. If I would have know that this trip was going to cost me more than double of what I originally paid, I would have just cancelled the cruise before I left Chicago and called it a day. After this, it wasn't it. After hotel costs, ubers, etc. We finally get on ship the following day to be treated like complete crap by the staff because we were now DOWNLINERS! I understand it wasn't the cruise lines fault our flight got cancelled but their customer service was absolutely poor and rude. We have family that take cruise all the time and they have never heard of the Jones Act. Why is this not explained better when you book a cruise, especially when you book directly through the cruise line with their so called "experience agents". Not only this but we were supposed to stop in Great Stirrup Cay but could not, due to high waves. Oh great. Now you have 3000 people stuck on a ship. Everyone was trying to be by the pool area but it was so crowed. They had an entire top deck closed off where no one could sit, 2 hot tubs not working, and people laying on over the deck floors on their towels and we were having to step around. Absolutely terrible! There were lots of other details that were not good either but this review would be 10x as long. Then on the last day, because we were downliners, we had to meet the staff at 6am to be personally escorted off of the ship to customs. And once again, treated like garbage. I've tried to contact NCL several times. Sent a few emails and actually sent a letter to corporate. Glad to know that none of their staff cares about anything. Worst vacation ever, and for sure, no more cruises. Read Less

My wife and I love to cruise, so when we saw this one included all beverages we decided to sail Norwegian this time. I had read a lot of reviews and noted a lot of them mentioned the odor of sewage on the ship. We still decided to go and thought maybe it was a fluke. We get to the port to board and the employee checking us in was absolutely MISERABLE! She barely made eye contact with either of us and didn't offer us a map of the ship, luckily we found one on our own. When it was our turn to board, we followed all the other passengers who has boarded ahead of us (we were group 2). We were greeted with more unpleasant staff who would not let us proceed forward to board because we went thr wrong way. Instead of explaining where to go the just told us the entry was directly beside us. Once on the ship my wife and I immediately noticed the foul odor of sewage. This odor remained the entire cruise. Inside the Dazzels club where the art auction was held the room smelled terribly, like smelly feet. The alcohol was free, however the beer tasted awful! Like it was skunked. The mixed frozen drinks had hardly any alcohol in them and getting a pleasant bartender was impossible. Thank God we found Petar he was wonderful! Our first day at Key West, we booked a boat tour, it got cancelled due to lack of interest. We weren't even given a chance to schedule an alternate shore excursion. The food was also awful at the buffets. Same exact menu everyday. The food at Le Bistro, Crossroads Cafe, and The Palace was very good! The room was good and the bed was comfortable. However, the TV was hazy and basically 2 channels you could watch. Read Less
