What a let down. my wife and i have almost 40 cruises behind us, and my mother has almost 100. we just discovered celebrity after having a great time on two separate cruises on the EQUINOX. great time had by all. we then told our extended family of finding celebrity, and we booked seven cabins on the april 1 sailing on the summit. a small cruise, but we wanted to get our family hooked like we are to keep cruising.

first problem was a missed port, adding another sea day to a three port cruise. then, the air conditioning went out on our bonus sea day. then all the power went out (in guest areas). then the bathrooms stopped working. next the water was cut off and by now we were used to our water overflowing from the shower pan into the bathroom. then even when the power came back on , the tvs stopped working. Minimal communication by staff on the expected duration of the failures, so you could not even try to work around. My mother has been on almost 100 cruises and literally put her life jacket on the couch from under the bed expecting additional failures. our final day and straw was capped off by ZERO towels in our room the night before debarkation, no notice, no towel, no nothing. our pool towels had already been collected by our cabin stewardess, and she said no towels because there was another PROBLEM. we also attended the pay for upgraded dining, and they closed in the begining of the meal (this charge was the only compensated event).

the night before debarkation, before finding out there were going to be no towels, guest services assured us that they would have a compensation offer to us by the morning we got back to home port. not only did THIS not occur, calls to celebrity netted responses from-you'll have it by sunday, no now monday, no we now need 72 hours, the ship wont answer us back, and today is april 21, more than two weeks later nothing.
