Our room concierge was great and very kind. About the only thing on the cruise though. Food, I travelled with someone who was gluten intolerant. Mashed potatoes are one of the items she can eat. However those are not on the buffet for everyone as we were very rudely told she could not get those because it was on the kid buffet. I even explained it was for gluten issue and was still rudely told no. Then the minors drink package says unlimited soft serve ice cream, but was only served during certain times so how is that unlimited? Bar service was slow but they were at least on the most part friendly, but very understaffed for the amount of guests. The non buffet dining was very slow as well. We would wait 15+ minutes between courses. Was not told which dining service we had or where on our cruise card, reserved for 6:30 when booked cruise. Went down at 6:30 to ask where we were supposed to be and was rudely told it started at 6 and we were allowed to be late that day because it was the first day but would need to be on time to be served in the future. Had breakfast daily delivery but wasn’t told how to order and didn’t have the fork to hang on the door until asked about it the second day so missed out the first day from lack of communication. Went to guest services because our room door kept getting stuck and not letting us in, was told they would fix it, issue was never fixed and one evening it took us nearly 5 minutes to enter our room, another time a worker helped us and he even struggled for a little while. 18+ disco had many kids under 18 walking around. While relaxing on the upper deck trying to read a book with numerous other guests out there around midday maintenance decided to sand and grind paint off the steps to the sporting area. Dust flying everywhere in the wind getting on myself and other guests. Very Loud and not a quick process ruined our time on the boat for that afternoon. Even when they were asked to stop they refused and kept interrupting our vacation that we spent a lot of money on to enjoy. Lastly, our day at ocean cay was cancelled because of lack of planning on MSC. For the first time ever they had 2 ships going at the same time. However they only have 1 dock. Why would you do this? So our boat was told they would have to tender to the island. Okay but then weather prevented the tender. We lost our day because we couldn’t dock, the other boat docked and got to enjoy their day on the island however because of lack of planning and only one dock our day was cancelled. If 2 ships wouldn’t had been there then we could have docked and enjoyed our time. Plan better! When told we would be given a credit for a later cruise what is the point. I will never use MSC cruise line again. I was trying this cruise out for the first time to see if we could add it to our list of cruises we enjoy. We definitely will not be doing so and will be spreading the word to not waste your money
