Only supposed to be 1 night at sea but due to weather we had 2 consecutive days and could not go outside. Ship could not visit Gdańsk. Been with Viking river cruises before And delighted with professionalism of the staff. Visited places we wanted Togo Outstanding staff and food with a variety of restaurants to choose from. Our favourite was the world cafe. No rigid seating in any ...

An enjoyable cruise in Princess Grill for the following reasons; Lovely Princess Grill cabin mid ship with fantastic views, spaciousness and extras such as tea, coffee maker, good sized bathrooms with amenities and handy to all areas. The restaurant was amazing with an excellent table, service and food to die for. The only downside was both my husband eat Kosher food, two meals came with ...

Food so - so, crew seemed new to ship

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

While we still like Oceania there were a number of areas that fell short of our expectations on this past cruise. Food – Over all we found the food on this trip was not as good as our prior two trips on Marina and Riviera. The Bouillabaisse in Jacques was not good at all.. No mussels, no clams, no fennel (I don’t think) and no broth. It was pasty, more like a sauce that I would expect in a ...

We have been on Oceania twice prior and because 3 nights in St Petersburg, 14 days and the Baltic was on our bucket list. Every place we had not been to and that was really appealing. We had travelled with Oceania twice prior and relatively positive experiences. The staff, whether, food, drinks, entertainment or cabin staff are excellent and very accommodating. The negatives, - Showers ...

Scenic Maintains Standards

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Scenic Sapphire

User Avatar

A Rhone cruise seemed the best way to explore this area of France. Scenic are not cheap but are all inclusive so there's no need to spend any money if you don't want to. Scenic set high standards - equivalent to a five star hotel but informal - smart casual is as good as it gets for evening dining. This cruise delivered what it said it would. The captain was excellent - visible and ...

Cunard Service Is Still Alive and Well

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

User Avatar

There are no bells and whistles like water slides or skating rinks on the QM2. But there is ball room dancing with a live band every evening, a show every night in the large theater, a jazz trio in the bar, piano players in the lounges, and an oldies band in the late night club. Definitely an older crowd. But there is a full children's area and teen lounge, both well supervised. Even the only ...

Once again we had a wonderful relaxing cruise on QM2. Have been on it many times. The embarkation in New York went very Smoothly for us. (we are diamond members) there were long lines for other people to enter the ship, felt sorry for them, heard many complaints. The ship is quite old, if you look for 'Luxury" it's not there , but still very nice. we were on the 12th deck with a balcony-club ...

No longer a 5 star ship but now a 4 star ship. The cabin was very spacious. l'occitane was not provided in the room. They use a big bottle of local shampoo and conditioner. I was expecting this but they no longer have it. The slippers provided was even cheap. The food was excellent. The service was very good. The ship is a bit dated. The was only 1 restroom around the major ...

Alaska Adventure

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Silver Muse

A group of 18 friends gathered for an Alaska interior trip followed by the 7 day southbound cruise. The interior part of the trip was an incredible opportunity to see animals up close in a carefully managed national park. As this is a cruise review, i will focus on the ship portion but highly recommend the pre-cruise adventure. Room: We were in veranda room 908, adjoining with 906. The room ...

Sailing the Ocean Blue

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Star

User Avatar

Friends suggested an Ocean Cruise in the Mediterranean. We had not been on an ocean cruise before so we really had no expectation. We had completed two river cruises (one with AMA and one with Viking) and enjoyed the rivers. Viking Ocean was a much bigger ship that I expected, however, it is spacious. Viking designed the ship in such a way that there are various sitting/bar/game areas. You ...
