I did my own excursion by myself. I went to Junkanoo Beach. Honestly it’s probably the most dirty beach I’ve been to, but it’s public, free, and the water is clean.

Nassau itself has become too commercialised. The big hotels block access to their beaches and want to charge $100 if you want to visit them!

We used this port to walk around and explore. Try new foods and see things on our own. We were both happy with that decision. It was beautiful

Very crowded. A lot of Bahamians harassing you to purchase items especially at the public beach beside Atlantis. Atlantis was cool to see.

We docked and caught the bus to the local beach. The Junkanoo beach was overrun with tourists because 5 cruise lines docked on the same day. The shacks there gave each of us different prices for the same services. My friend received a shot for $2/each and my wife and I were charged $3. My recommendation is to either buy an excursion or catch the taxi to another beach further away. Read Less

Be aware there are weight restrictions on almost every excursion. Being a large person at 400lbs I was overweight for every excursion. All excursions were 300lbs or less. Just an FYI

Nassau, was very busy but it was 3 other ships there with us. We got to catch the New year's day parade which was nice. We did a little shopping then got back on the ship.

Nassau is a get off, go shopping, get back on the boat stop. The excursion to go to the beach for the day is $90/pp.

There was plenty to do without an excursion. We walked to the Queens stairs and the fort close by. We caught a water taxi to Paradise Island and then walked to Cabbage beach.
