Depends on what you are looking for. I'm all for these places boosting their economies through tourism, but i think Jamaica is pushing it a bit far. other than that, for us it was pleasant with our taxi driver and we felt safe at all times ...

Hated the place. Went to Margaritaville - This should be renbamed as Rip-Off-Ville. The staff will literally cheat you out of your money by overcharging you. We paid a massive $132 for 8 Margaritas !! We would never return to Montego Bay not only because of this but also because you cannot move an inch without being hassled all the time... If you venture there - do NOT go to Margaritaville... ...

Took a cab ride/tour around the the town and ended up at the beach club. Not terribly interesting but an inexpensive way to see the area. The beach was nice, but very touristy and busy due to the cruise ship traffic. ...
