Choose this cruise because it was in driving distance for all passengers. The food in the Scarlett dining room was very good and the service was excellent. Felt like royalty. The condition of the cabin was deplorable. Dirty, and many shopworn items or broken items. Also lack of activities. Either drink and eat or do nothing. Service in the Lido buffet was lacking. Asked for a soft drink with lunch and was told that there was a bar on the back deck. " Go get it yourself" I later asked that I be served a soft drink and after an exasperated look, the server did bring one. No bar service in the Encore show room except the last night and then the server worked all during the show, repeatedly walking in front of us. The comedy shows were the best of the entertainment. Guest services went above and beyond-I had a new phone and the charger was not interchangeable with the one for my tablet. They loaned me one and let me use it the entire cruise. Praise Liza(not sure of the spelling). Do not think I will cruise Carnival again.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8E

Liked the size and layout but entire cabin was shabby. Very dirty on check in. Missing TV remote initially. After complaining to steward and supervisor, it was cleaned. But worn and broken items were never fixed. I did not even report as there were too many. Compensation for dirty cabin was two bottles of water. Balcony was fine except the furniture was paint splattered. Over all appearance was one of do the job quickly and get on to the next.

Port Reviews

Montego Bay

The port facilities were terrible. Nothing at the port but large building and taxis and buses.
